We begin at the Circus Maximus (or, in some cases, from your hotel), the largest stadium of the Roman Empire! Kilometre after kilometre reveals monuments and architectural marvels as we wind our way through one of Rome’s most popular shopping districts, stopping at the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. This 21-kilometre loop takes you through the legendary Forum of Emperors past and offers a glimpse and photo opportunity of the Colosseum, which is rarely seen by tourists glowing in the morning light. As we cruise through one of Rome’s most Roman neighbourhoods, Trastevere, you feel as though time has come to a standstill. Roughly halfway through our adventure, and after a few sets of stairs, we take in a bird’s-eye view of Rome, with the waking sun casting a golden red blanket over the countless cupolas that form the Roman skyline.
No visit to Rome would be complete without a stop at Piazza del Rotonda to admire the Pantheon or Campo de’ Fiori – the centre of Roman social life by night and a produce market by day. With historical monuments and stories around every corner, it is no wonder that Rome is often referred to as the world’s largest open-air museum.
Experience it all before the cars, noise, and tourists reclaim the city! This private tour showcases all the sights and is led by running guides who are eager to share their city with you! We will run this tour at your pace and are ready to stop for photos whenever you wish. There are countless drinkable water fountains along the route (known as “Nasoni” – “big noses”), with the water still brought in from the mountains via Roman aqueducts! The tour is suitable for all types of runners, mostly flat with approximately 100 metres of uphill/stairs, and will be conducted at your pace.

We had a lovely morning run with Massimiliano. Did a fantastic 21k tour of the city. We started at 6:30, and running the city while the sun was rising and the crowds were low was such an amazing way to see the city! Massimiliano also gave us some great recommendations for bakeries along the way !

Running 25K with Roberto through the streets of Rome was such a unique and enjoyable experience. I explored parts of the city that I would never have without Roberto and had great conversation over the few hours we were together. I needed to get a longer run in for training and Roberto went out of his way to make sure that I got what I needed. I didn’t appreciate the amount of planning Roberto put into the run until I looked at my Strava after the fact and saw how intricate the course was. Roberto did such a good job planning the route and navigating that I didn’t realize just how complicated it was. I truly cannot recommend the experience enough. It was worth every penny to 1) not have to route plan or navigate while in an unfamiliar area, 2) explore places I wouldn’t have otherwise, 3) have great company in a beautiful city.

I can’t say enough about this tour. It was so much more than I expected and was the highlight of my trip! Dario was great, he gave so many hidden spots, with stories, and unlimited stops at the Roman fountains!

With a limited period of time in Rome this was the perfect way to cover ground! Fabrizio was fun, personable and informed. Was so special to see this stunning city before the crowds – a true treat! Highly recommend this to anyone who is passionate about running and wants to see the best that Rome has to offer!

This run was the best! I can’t thank Fabrizio and Dario enough for such an amazing 13 mile run. We saw all the sight, plus areas of Rome that I never would have made it to. They were incredibly informative. It was the best time I spent in Rome. Hands down. You won’t regret this run!

Fabrizio and Claudia were excellent company for my 20k run around Rome.
We started at 6am when it was cooler and we finished just as the city was waking up.
A few hills, plenty of water stops and lots of fun with my running/tourist guides.
If you want to keep your running going whilst on holiday, then I recommend these guys 100%.

Best thing I did in Roma. Period. The two most knowledgeable, professional, and enjoyable people, Fabrizio and Dario organize a phenomenal tour of one of the most beautiful cities on earth. Prepare to be immersed in history while running through present day Roma with two great guides. Start before the morning rush and you will be treated to a unique perspective of this wonderful place. Just think, the further you run, the more pasta you get to eat later on!!! If you enjoy running, DO NOT MISS this experience!!! Oh, and do the 21k and you will see more of Roma in 3 hours than most see in 3 days.
