Runner on the ground - ELIZA

This route is perfect for a sub-60 minute introduction to Washington DC’s must-see sights along the national mall, taking guests past the monuments that you read about in history books! It is a relatively quick route, but is rich with history and amazing views.

This group tour will begin in front of the famous St. Regis Hotel. We will head south towards the National Mall, as we learn about L’Enfant’s city planning commissioned by the first US President, George Washington, along the way. The Washington Monument will be our first stop along the mall, where you will have a view of the Capitol building off in the distance directly east, the White House directly North, and the Lincoln Memorial directly West. We will next make our way to the Tidal Basin, home to the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, and take our next stop at one of the newest and most stunning additions to the DC monuments, the Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial. Shortly thereafter, we will reach the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, where we can walk right up to the larger-than-life Abraham Lincoln statue, and then make our way alongside the Reflecting Pool back up towards the White House, our last stop on the tour.

This tour will be a perfect introduction to Washington, DC and some of the most famous views that the capital city has to offer!

    Amazing way to see DC!

    Christine Caliari

I recently had the incredible experience of taking a running tour in DC during a work trip, and it exceeded all my expectations — thanks in large part to my amazing guide, Eliza!

She offered a beautiful way to see the city while fitting in some exercise before the workday began, sharing insightful stories about DC’s history, landmarks, and hidden gems. Running past the monuments at sunrise was truly magical, and Eliza’s encouragement, energy, and professionalism made the experience even better!

If you’re looking for a unique, active way to experience DC, I can’t recommend this tour — and Eliza — highly enough. It’s truly the highlight of my trip!
