Hi, I’m Ward, I am a native Aussie (Australian), living in Austin TX. As an Australian, I love to go “walkabout”, or for me, I call it “run about”, and I’ve spent many hours running the trails of Austin. I’d love to share the sights, both mainstream, and off the grid, that make Austin such a great place to run.

I cut my teeth on triathlons and found running was my favorite stage. I conduct my tours with a fun and informative style, and customize the experience to your running style and pace. I’m up for anything if you are!

Running a trail represents so much more than just exercise, it’s a metaphor for travel, unknown paths to new horizons. Trails represent an expression of our existence. Where does it lead? Who has been here before? Why has the landscape formed this way?

Let me share the Austin stories with you by foot, and then rest and recover at some fine eateries. I married a sweet southern Cajun from Louisiana, and have 2 young energetic boys who I’ve spent hours running around town in a BOB stroller, parent runners know those! I visit a new city either on vacation or a work trip, and hope you do too!
