IS THE TOUR CANCELLED IF IT RAINS, SNOWS OR THERE ARE MINUS DEGREES?
Tours will not be cancelled if it rains, snows, windy CONDITIONS, cold etc. It is very rare that the weather conditions will be so bad in Aarhus, that tours will be cancelled. The important thing is to dress according to the weather.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
The weather in Aarhus varies quite a lot depending on the season, and even within a season it can change a lot. It is therefore a good idea to always check the weather conditions before travelling to Aarhus and going for a run, so that you know what to expect from the weather and how to dress.
During the colder months and winter time we always recommend people to wear warm running clothes that can keep you warm – also gloves and hat/headbands. In the summer you can often just wear a t-shirt and a pair of shorts/tights.
It is also very important to wear sunscreen on sunny days during summer.
IS THERE WATER ON THE TOUR?
We will provide you with bottled water during the tour. Also there are a few public water fountains along the way, so if you are in need of a sip of water, simply ask the guide to point out a drinking spot. Also, that would be the occasion to take a pic in front of one of Florence monuments!
HOW FAST DO YOU RUN ON THE TOURS, DO I HAVE TO BE AN EXPERIENCED RUNNER TO JOIN?
The running pace is set on our private tours by you, so we will adapt the pace to your pace. We are not participating in a race, as this is a running tour with the purpose of exploring and enjoying the views of the city.
In case you like to use your running tour as a part of your race preparation training, tell us in advance which pace you would like to run and we will try and adapt to the pace.
WILL IT BE POSSIBLE TO TAKE PICTURES ON THE RUN?
Yes, you can bring your camera and take as many pictures as you want. Just let the guide know when you want to take a picture and we will make a picture-stop.
Your guide will also offer to take pictures of you during the tour. After the tour, we will send the pictures to you. This service is of course without extra charge.
WILL THERE BE STOPS ON THE RUN?
We will have stops by the main attractions where the guide will share anecdotes and knowledge about the sights. If you prefer to stop more times or prefer to run all the time, just let us know at the beginning of the tour.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO STORE BAGS AND CLOTHES AT THE STARTING PLACE?
Unfortunately, there is no storage for bags. Please bring as few things as possible on the tour.
ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS?
You must be at least 18 years old to book a running tour and runners under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or a legal guardian.
DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?
Yes, we ask for at least 24 hours notice for our running tours. We have to check availability of one of our tour guides and we need some time to arrange all necessary tour details.
If less notice is given, we will do our best to arrange a tour for you. Simply contact us as soon as possible.
WHERE WILL I MEET THE GUIDE?
We will meet you at your hotel/apartment address in the centre of Aarhus. The guide will then wait at the agreed starting time in front of the hotel’s/apartment’s main entrance.
We will not enter the hotel lobby or apartment building. Please come to the main entrance at the agreed starting time.
If you live outside of the city centre we will meet you at the standard meeting point, which is described when you book your tour.
