ANCIENT ATHENS TOUR - 10K
For the “Ancient Athens Run” we take a jog around the Acropolis and by other emblematic ancient Greek and Roman monuments.

10 years of running
∼This is an extended version of what is known as “Aristotle’s Walk”, the route Aristotle walked in ancient times with his students while discussing philosophy.
This run features all of Athens’ most celebrated monuments dated back from 5th century BC up to the Roman times. Acropolis is the most popular monument but there are many others which are equally emblematic such as the Ancient market, including the tunnel of Attalos and the Temple of Hephaestus.
The temple of Olympian Zeus, the ancient Theater of Dionysus and the monument of Lysicrates are also all part of this running tour. We also view the remains of the Great Wall that connected Acropolis with the port of Piraeus.
In addition runners will pass by many Roman monuments, such as the Odeon of Herods Atticus, the Arc of Adrian, the Roman baths, the library of Adrian and the Roman market. This is a unique chance to experience the changes that happened from the ancient Greek period to the Roman times.
This running tour is 10 km jam packed with world famous sights, and a history that very few places in the world can offer.

What a fun way to see the city! George is a great guide for this run. He knows the city well and peppers the run with interesting facts about the historic sites along the way. The time flew by and I would highly recommend this tour.

Loved this tour – did it on first morning in Athens and it gave me a load of places to visit again in more depth over the holiday as well as a nice active start to my trip. George is friendly, very helpful & gave me lots of pointers on making the most of our stay. Definitely recommend!

What better way to see some of Athens sites than through running? My husband and I really enjoyed this. We only had a day in Athens, so wanted to see main spots in a faster way. This was perfect.
George was a very great tour guide!

This was an amazing experience!! Our guide George took us on an incredible route that we would never have found by ourselves. It was one of our favorite activities in Athens! George was very nice, spoke great English, and was a joy to run with. He met us at our requested location. He is also a very fast runner but happy to go our pace. He even took our photo at all the best spots. Thanks George!

Lovely way to learn about Athen. You get the history, the viewpoints, the secret hide-outs and most important; you get an overview of “must see”. Hence you can afterwards plan the rest of our stay. So a running tour the first day of our stay is the key to the rest of your stay i Anthen.

This tour was unexpectedly one of the favorite parts of our two and a half weeks in Europe – we didn’t anticipate enjoying or learning so much while working out early in the morning on vacation! Mihail was an expert on the city, its culture and history and made us fall in love with Athens. Once he heard about our limited time in the city, he even adjusted the route slightly, to incorporate a few must see sights. We loved this run, it’s conversational pace and would gladly take another tour or recommend this one to a friend!

This running tour was the best I have ever done! The route was expertly designed to see all the important landmarks and sites of Athens within 2 hours, which could otherwise take 2 days! Michael was easy to find at the meeting point and catered to our pace. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Athens and gave us the perfect amount of information while we were running and added in some breaks for photos and views. We couldn’t say enough great things about this tour and highly recommend it for anyone visiting Athens.
