Runner on the ground - DAVID

10 years of running

Amsterdam Grand Tour running in the city is the largest running tour and the one that offers the most. It’s close to a half marathon through the winding streets of this UNESCO heritage city is a great workout and the best excuse for indulging into all the guilty pleasures Amsterdam has to offer you during the rest of your stay.

This Amsterdam grand tour run will provide you a great overview of the city. You will see the gems and must-sees of Amsterdam and many hidden pearls. Of course, we will cross the medieval red light district, cruise along the most famous canals as well as numerous coffee shops, enjoy river views, the Vondelpark, and crossing the majestic Rijksmuseum. We combine this with some great urban architecture and top it with historical facts, stories, and the personal knowledge of the local guide.

This fantastic tour will show you the Must-See of Amsterdam as well as great places off the beaten track. Put on your running shoes and discover the highlights of Amsterdam. This fun running tour is not only a great workout but we make sure you leave us packed with lasting memories and great knowledge about dazzling Amsterdam.

While it is exercise (at your own pace) it’s above all great fun. Ready to join us?

I had a great time exploring Amsterdam with David. Not only was he a great running partner with lots of knowledge of the city and its history but he was extremely accommodating. My flights in were delayed and my bags were lost but he kept the tour even though I arrived over 4 hours after the originally scheduled time. If you want a great tour of Amsterdam and some miles book a tour with David!

Overall I had an incredible time with David and the rest of the group. He took us on a historically and culturally relevant route, had stories and insights for every step of the journey, and took time to learn and talk to each of us as individuals he was genuinely interested in getting to know better. Highly recommend this tour (and any of the shorter ones as well) for anyone wanting to combine pleasure and learning with a good run.

One of a kind running experience

I had a wonderful time.on the 20km tour. Given the heat we even stopped for a quick swim towards the end of our run! And I spent the rest of my time in the city spotting the different sites we had run past! And not only was learning all about the different sites really interesting, it was also a great distraction from the miles we were clocking up along the way! Highly recommend this as a one of a kind experience!

    Amazing Amsterdam Experience

I am so grateful for David and this experience. It was the perfect way to start my time in Amsterdam. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. I learned more than I could have imagined. I chose the 21K option and if you have the time and fitness that allows for this tour- do it! David took me through less tourist type places and the views were incredible. I loved all the different bridges and could not get enough of the park we ran through with with the parrots. I loved every step of this adventure.

David is a brilliant guide. I asked for between 16km and 17km and he put together a brilliant tour. He’s a really great guy, knowledgeable about Amsterdam. It was fabulous.

    This tour made my trip

When I learned of a work trip that would give me 2 days in Amaterdam with only one morning to explore the city, I opted to book the Grand Tour. There were many positive reviews, and David still exceeded my expectations for a wonderful tour. My tour was solo and he shared incredible details about the history of the city, identified great spots for photographs, shared lovely conversation throughout, and remained flexible and accommodating.

The clearest recommendation I can offer is that I’ve already begun to tell friends and family that they must book this tour the next time they come to Amsterdam.

A fantastic way to see Amsterdam

    Jayne Rist

We were a group of 5 ladies who wanted to utilise our short stay in Amsterdam to see as much of the city as possible and get a run in.
We chose the 20km option and was very lucky to have David as our guide.
David was very friendly and knowledgeable and we saw parts of the city we never would have found ourselves. There were plenty of photo and drink stops which made it a very pleasant experience.
I would highly recommend one of these running tours if visiting Amsterdam. I booked this tour a few weeks prior to travelling and communication from the time of booking to the day of the tour was excellent.
Thank you David for an enjoyable experience.

Great run with David early this morning. Very good pace and very pleasant at the same time! David, beyond being a strong runner, is also a really nice guy and had a deep knowledge of one of the most beautiful cities in the world! Highly recommended, best way to see Amsterdam before tourists wake up!

Take this tour! Yesterday, I ran 20KM with David. He is a great tour guide with a pleasant personality. He took me on a scenic run, explained the history, and was great company. Amsterdam is a beautiful city. The best way to see it is to run with David.

Got to see ALL of Amsterdam

    Nicole Solana

I visited Amsterdam and really wanted to have a well rounded trip within the 3 days I was there. David showed it all! I learned about the city, the art, and he showed us some unique things I would have never noticed. It was a leisurely pace and we even stopped to grab a water/smoothies when my group got tired. Thanks David for showing us the sites.

    Highly recommend.
