ANCIENT ATHENS TOUR – 10K

∼This is an extended version of what is known as “Aristotle’s Walk”, the route Aristotle walked in ancient times with his students while discussing philosophy.

This run features all of Athens’ most celebrated monuments dated back from 5th century BC up to the Roman times. Acropolis is the most popular monument but there are many others which are equally emblematic such as the Ancient market, including the tunnel of Attalos and the Temple of Hephaestus.

The temple of Olympian Zeus, the ancient Theater of Dionysus and the monument of Lysicrates are also all part of this running tour. We also view the remains of the Great Wall that connected Acropolis with the port of Piraeus.

In addition runners will pass by many Roman monuments, such as the Odeon of Herods Atticus, the Arc of Adrian, the Roman baths, the library of Adrian and the Roman market. This is a unique chance to experience the changes that happened from the ancient Greek period to the Roman times.

This running tour is 10 km jam packed with world famous sights, and a history that very few places in the world can offer.
