David Halbert –
Wow what a fantastic weekend away on the island of Andros! On the day I arrived I met my running tour guide Mattheos and the rain was bouncing off the roads and I wasn’t sure exactly how we could even attempt to run in such conditions. However the next day the weather had cleared and I had my first taste of the beautiful island of Andros and its amazing trails. The landscape and views are at times breath taking and the knowledge that Mattheos has of the island and its history just added to the whole experience. On my final day we ran the first 10K of the original Marathon course which is a half hour drive outside Athens which again was an amazing experience. All in all a great trip which I would fully recommend to runners of all abilities.
