DUNEDIN BAGPIPES AND CHARM - 6K
Runner on the ground - LAURA
Discover Downtown Dunedin and all of its charm on this jogging tour that takes runners on a journey back on time, on foot, that passes by the best historic sights in the city.
Kicking off next to the History Center in the heart of Downtown Dunedin along the Pinellas Trail (the former Orange Belt Railway), this tour tells runners the history of Dunedin and how it got its start all the way from its first settlers to naming the city, incorporating, and ultimately to the city we see now. Runners will pass by places such as the Fenway Hotel, the oldest remaining house in Dunedin (The Douglas House), the VFW to see the Roebling Alligator (WWII vehicle), Mease Hospital, the Toronto BlueJays stadium and many more.
Dunedin is also known for things such as Oranges/ Orange Concentrate, the PGA, the Barrier Islands (Honeymoon and Caladesi) and several other ‘firsts’ that make Dunedin such a fascinating place to learn about. All of these topics will be covered by your tour guide along the way, as well, so that runners are left with a ton of history and facts on the city of Dunedin.
