Here is a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of Bangkok and enjoy a peaceful run in three different local parks. “Chatuchak Discovery Garden” is a network of three nearby parks covering a total area of 112.8 hectares. Vachirabenjatas Park (Rot Fai Park) , Chatuchak Park and Queen Sirikit Park each have their own character and spots of interest, and no doubt a running tour here will leave you with a runner’s high.
Chatuchak Park is a heaven for running as it boasts shady tracks lined with vegetation and runners will with guarantee appreciate the sheer beauty of the Thai Literature Garden and Herb Garden.
Rot Fai Park is the more lively park with a range of recreational activities such as children swimming pool with fancy fountains, bicycle service, and childrens playground. The park is decorated with many sculptures reflecting the fun-filled gestures of children. These sculptures add liveliness to the park and a run here will truly introduce runners to the everyday life of Thai families in Bangkok.
Queen Sirikit Park is a tribute to H.M. the Queen on the occasion of her 60th Birthday Anniversary on 12 August 1992. This park is a botanical garden and runners will find themselves soaking up the exotic views and smells of Thai botanics.
NOTE : If runners prefer to finish a tour at the Chatuchak weekend market. Your guide will take you there – simply let us know during the booking process. The Chatuchak weeked market is the largest market in Thailand and it has more than 8,000 stalls, divided into 27 sections.
