Put on your running shoes and discover the highlights of Amsterdam. Crossing 31 bridges from Dam Square through the notorious Red Light District, the Medieval Centre and the Unesco World Heritage canal belt.
This fun running tour is not only a great workout but we make sure you leave us packed with lasting memories and great knowledge about dazzling Amsterdam.
We start at the Dam Square, the place where Amsterdam was born as a little fishing village in the 13th century, to soon become the world’s most important trading town. Under the smoke of the many coffee shops we cross the notorious Red Light District and explore the many medieval monuments this part of the town has to offer. Our run winds through the narrow cobbled streets of the city, along the scenic river Amstel and the many canals, making sure to cover the most important sites of this astonishing city.
Next to the touristic hot spots we will venture to some great places off the beaten track. They might be less known but maybe even more beautiful! On top of this we add some stunning “modern” Amsterdam, great views and many hidden gems. You will learn about the history of the town and the local guide will give you a unique insight into real life of the locals. All of this at your own pace and with plenty of time to stop and take pictures.

David was an exceptional guide and this is a great way to see the sights. He took great photos, had a great amount of knowledge about the city, the history. answered all my questions. And was patient when I wanted to walk or look at something more closely. A fantastic experience. Would highly recommend!

David was a great tour guide around Amsterdam – after losing (and then finding) my phone in the city – David was so patient and still waited for me to get back to the hotel so we could run. He went at a pace that suited me, checked in regularly, offered water stops and heaps of knowledge about the city. I highly recommend David and the opportunity to run around Amsterdam!

Booking a running tour of Amsterdam is one of the best things I’ve ever done when traveling. I came across Go Running Tours when trying. To find running routes near my hotel in Amsterdam.
Not being familiar with Amsterdam and hearing about the massive amount of bikes, I thought this might be a practical way to get in some good exercise and not run over by a biker. Everything exceeded my expectations. David is a great guide with deep local knowledge, matched my easy pace, and took me all over Amsterdam in 7.3 miles.
If you’re on the fence book it, you won’t regret it.

My family and I had a great time running with David during our recent visit to Amsterdam. My partner and I ran the 11km route together while he pushed a double pram containing our two kids – a perfect family activity to get to know the city! David was very knowledgeable and accommodating, finding a route that was interesting and beautiful while at the same time being appropriate for running with a pram. We would not hesitate to recommend this fantastic tour with David, and look forward to running with him again when we are next in Amsterdam!

If you are a runner or someone with a little too much energy for museums and walking tours, this is a perfect way to see the city. David was an excellent guide. We met at Central Station and ran all throughout downtown Amsterdam. We ran at a modest pace which was perfect to appreciate the scenery and talk about its significance while still getting in a decent workout. Along the way, he educated me on the history of the city and pointed out numerous sites of historical or architectural significance. We stopped at several good picture spots along way. This experience was exactly what I was looking for and I highly recommend it to anyone interested. I signed up the day before and got an email promptly after signing up on line where we were able to workout the details of exactly when and where we would meet. It was an excellent experience overall. I would gladly do it again and hope to see these running tours expand into other cities.

Superb run with David.
Great route to see most of the city centre sites, good local knowledge and stories and a really nice guy. The pace was perfect (better than the weather!) and set us up for a day of enjoying Amsterdam.

Amsterdam is easy running with the very flat terrain. Still, it was good to have the guide to help navigate through all the channels and between all bicycles. I love combining a run with historic views of a city. David has a lot of interesting stories from Amsterdam that he shared. Very conveniently he called to agree on the running hour, and later picked me up at my hotel and run with me to the hotel after the tour.
I recommend anyone interested in running and city history to run Amsterdam with David.
