Description
This short-to-middle distance run starts at Highland Park Village. Dallas’ very own Rodeo Drive is the first open mall in the US. Highland Park, only 4 miles north of downtown Dallas, proudly has its own police force, municipal court, and some of the best public schools in Texas.
The run continues by the Dallas Country Club, an exclusive invite-only club with members including Dallas Cowboy players and celebrities. From there, we head to Lakeside Park, a gorgeous lake set amongst jaw-dropping homes. Next, we will run through tree-lined streets, past locations that appeared on the hit 1980’s show Dallas and may even see a celebrity house or two as we head towards Knox-Henderson. Knox Henderson is a mile-long strip of delicious restaurants and stores.
After stopping for a snack, we head up to the Katy Trail. It’s an iconic Dallas destination for walking and running, to Southern Methodist University. The university is one of Texas’s most recognized higher education schools. Here, you will feel like you’re back in school as we run through the quad and pass iconic buildings and the stadium. Finally, we will head back to Highland Park Village to conclude the run.
Joanne Camilleri –
Had a great run with Jorge – he was very knowledgeable, patient and taught me a lot about Dallas and showed me a great area. Wouldn’t have seen it otherwise! Thanks Jorge
