The tour begins at Adam Clark square , then the tour makes its way to the Buda castle, whre the old Buda town—one of the best preserved walled medieval cities in the world—makes for a perfect running environment, with some hillwork, narrow historic streets, and incredible views of the city.
From the Buda hill, we make our way on the riverside, a quiet and upscale residential neighborhood, before crossing the beautiful Chain bridge back into Pest. Once in Pest, we will running alongside the river again and admire perhaps Hungary’s most famous gothic edifice—the Parliament building. We make a jog through the Szabadsag Square (perhaps the only square in the world with a US embassy and a statue honoring Soviet liberation in WWII!).
The tour ends near St.Stephen’s Basilica, named in honour of Stephen, the first King of Hungary, whose right arm is housed in the church’s reliquary.
