Cool São Paulo is a running tour in one of the city’s oldest districts where, today, you can experience São Paulo’s vibrant urban life.
Starting from the center of the Pinheiros neighborhood, a gastronomic hotspot where the numbers of restaurants and bars burst each year, runners will head to the upscale financial area centered by Brigadeiro Faria Lima avenue. Along this avenue, runners take in the important architectural landmark of “Museu da Casa Brasileira”, an architecture and interior design museum. And the incredible architecture continues with Dacon Building, a cylindrical skyscraper. Next up, we run through Largo da Batata, a communal open space shared by a crowd of commuters and several artistic and cultural initiatives. After passing a popular graffiti mural, runners will spot the Instituto Tomie Ohtake, a cultural complex of visually striking architecture with frequent exhibitions previously unheard of in Brazil.
The running tour continues to Vila Madalena, a trendy neighborhood of São Paulo, which is the center of São Paulo’s bohemian culture and an area that welcomes an eclectic mix of visitors – sightseeing runners included. Running through Vila Madalena or Vila Madá, for short, you experience the vibrant Graffiti-covered alley, Beco do Batman and take in some of the best art galleries, bars, and cafés in São Paulo that are worth a visit during the bustling hours.
On this 8 km of the Cool São Paulo running tour, you will experience the energetic vibe of the city and the region’s intense cultural and social life. As an added bonus, you finish this tour with a wealth of knowledge about the excellent places for your post-run refueling.
