Description
This running tour is approximately 10 kilometres long and we will run past the main sights in Copenhagen including the Parliament, the Queen’s castle, Nyhavn and the Little Mermaid. Runners will run through the old city, almost able to feel the buzz of the old market square. By The Little Mermaid there will be time for a few photos and even if the place is full of tourists, your running tour guide is an expert in taking photos with the minimal amount of tourists in the background. You will be able to get up close and personal with the Royal Guards and on a good day even get a glimpse of a member of the Royal Family. And who would have thought that on this running tour you have the chance to see one of the world’s best statues?!?
In best Go! Running Tours style, this running tour has been planned with the beautiful scenery of Copenhagen in mind and we will be running along the canals and the harbour as well as through some of Copenhagen’s many parks.
We keep our running tours very informal and on our private running tours we run at the desired pace of the individual guests. There is always plenty of time to ask questions, take photos and take in the view. So if you are worried about the pace, about falling behind or about your guide leaving you in the middle of an unknown city, then rest assured – this tour is your tour, and we leave no one behind 🙂
This running tour lasts approximately 1½ hours and in that time you will have covered the majority of the Copenhagen sights, leaving you with plenty of time to see other less touristy parts of our fantastic capital.

Just returned from 2 weeks/4 countries and all agree that our city tour run in Copenhagen with Kim was one of the best things we did. We learned new things about the city, saw areas we had not before, he took fun pictures, and overall gave a great run. He maintained our pre-discussed pace exactly. Perfect ratio of run/stop for every ability in our group. Highly recommend!!

Exercise, learning, and loving every moment of it. I had never done this running tour before and I felt a bit scared. But it truly was the perfect way to get to know Copenhagen! Kim is the greatest! He runs at your pace, he takes pictures and knows tons of info on Copenhagen. Better than any tour I ever went on. Thank you Kim!!!!

Thank you Kim for a fantastic running tour of Copenhagen. It was my first visit to Copenhagen and what better way to start it than an early morning running tour. I was out the door and back before the rest of the family were awake and the family day of sightseeing was all the better for Kim’s local knowledge that he shared during the run. The local knowledge that you can never find in a guidebook. The pace was great and the time flew. I ve done a few running tours but Kim’s was the most interesting. Thank you so much for all your hard work Kim. Such a great tour didn’t happen by chance and I really appreciated it.

Spent three days in Copenhagen last week. Found this midway during my stay and, despite the short notice, Kim was able to arrange an early morning tour on my last day. Henrik met me promptly at my hotel and we set off for a tour of the city. It was a beautiful, crisp sunny day and at 7.30am the city was fairly quiet. Henrik was great company and very informative. He took me to all the major sites including the various palaces and The Little Mermaid but we also ran through some lovely quieter parks that I’m sure I wouldn’t have seen if I’d been on my own. We covered just over 11km but as we stopped frequently he could tell me about the sites so it didn’t seem like a very long run. Fortunately he did most of the talking as I’m not the fittest runner and would have struggled to hold a conversation.
Henrik was full of fascinating information about the various sites and their history. I will not be able to look a a woman walking a dog in Copenhagen the same way again!
Overall I loved this concept of a running tour and it was a great way to view a wonderful city. Kim, who runs the outfit in Copenhagen and who we met on our run, was extremely efficient and answered all my queries promptly.
Would thoroughly recommend this to runners of all abilities.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable run with Lena. I’ve always thought that if you like to run or jog and you like to explore new towns and cities, that a running tour would be ideal and this tour proved that theory absolutely. Lena was great company and had lots to tell us about her city, Copenhagen. It was the highlight of our weekend. Thank you Lena and the rest of the Go Running Tour team!

I ran the 10km city tour with Kim this morning and it surpassed all my expectations. I received a comprehensive history lesson about Copenhagen in general plus great insights and stories about the individual places we stopped. The tour is a great way to see the city and Kim is full of insider information – he gave me some nice tips on places to eat, where to take my kids etc. I highly recommend booking a run with Kim when you are next in Copenhagen.

RAN this tour led by Kim this morning. It was fabulous! I’ve always thought running was the best way to see the city and the theory is confirmed. Kim was very knowledgeable and experienced. You can tell he loves running and loves his city. He kindly adjusted to my molasses-like pace. He took pictures along the way for me and forwarded the run info afterwards, so bonus! Even the weather was beautiful! (Ok, can’t promise that one for your tour…). Now I’ve learned about Go Running Tours, I’ll be sure to look it up at other locations in my travels.
