Denmark is indeed a fairy tale country and no fairy tale with our queens, kings, princes and princesses. We will of course make a stop by the Queen’s Palace where we will get close to the Royal Guards and have the opportunity to look at their uniforms, their bear skin hats and of course take pictures with them. The Danish fairy tale does however not include an evil queen mother, as our queen is very nice, but we will talk about how our prince found his princess, about the royal weddings and of course their many horse carriages and cars.
This family sightseeing running tour will also dive into history where children and parents will hear about the enemy attacking Copenhagen (no gory details, we promise). We will stop by the canons we used to defend Copenhagen and we will of course also talk about the many castles of city.
And hey – no family sightseeing tour in Copenhagen without stopping by The Little Mermaid. Depending on the age of the runners and the fairy tale told at home, your guide will be able to stick to the Disney version of The Little Mermaid or of course stick to the original fairy tale of Hans Christian Andersen without a happy ending.
This family sightseeing activity is the perfect way to experience Copenhagen in a healthy and fun way, and of course to have a unique running experience in our small capital.
It is a stress free way of sightseeing in Copenhagen with a family as the tour is 100% adjusted to the family members. We include as many stops as necessary, focus on the child friendly stories of the city and we adjust the route to fitness and interest of your family. Though we first and foremost want to ensure that the children have an enjoyable time, there is also plenty of time for the adults to hear about Copenhagen from both a historical and modern day perspective.
If you are in need of a baby stroller, we have a Chariot Cougar available and for an extra 100 DKK, this can be the wheels of your child on the run through Copenhagen.

Your partner is welcome to join the running tour on bike. (After all, Copenhagen is the most bike-friendly city. 🙂 ) Simply book him/her as an extra runner and add a note to the “What else should we know ?” section with the number of bikers.
