Description
An early morning run is, in our humble opinion, the best time to experience Copenhagen. On this running tour, runners will experience the main sights of Copenhagen, while enjoying the sunrise over the harbour. The Little Mermaid will be deserted, giving runners a unique chance to see this iconic figure all by themselves. The sun will rise over the Opera house and the early sun rays will light up the Royal Palace in a magnificent orange color. On a lucky day we will see the Crown Prince driving Prince Christian to school and the Danish politicians getting their own morning run in, before a busy day starts.
This Copenhagen Morning Run is particularly suited to people travelling on business, as it gives them a chance to experience Copenhagen despite a busy schedule, as well as getting their daily run in. This is a unique, fun and effective way of sightseeing Copenhagen. Furthermore, it is also an opportunity to run with a local Dane and ask all the questions you may have about the Danish culture, The World’s happiest people, our bike culture, politics etc.
As this is a private running tour, then you can choose yourself, if you would like to time your run with the sunrise or simply keep this as an early morning run. Needless to say, as Copenhagen is fairly far north, then a sunrise run during summer means a 4.30am start, whereas a sunrise run in December will be around 8.30am. The Running Copenhagen guide team are all morning runners, so we will be ready for a morning run whenever you are.
