What Level of Running is this Trip suitable for?
Accommodation will be at the National Trust-owned Penrose Bunk House on the beautiful Cornish coast. The bunkhouse accommodation has two separate rooms, which sleep 7 in a mix of single and bunk beds. A linen pack is also included in your booking fee and consists of a pillow and pillowcase, duvet and duvet cover, sheet, hand towel, and bath towel.

DAY 1 | FRIDAY – LOE POOL
Your running adventure (choose either the 2 or 3-day option) will begin on Friday Evening with a 10 km night run around the Loe Pool, where legend has it that King Arthur threw Excalibur into the cold, murky water!
DAY 2 | SATURDAY – THE LIZARD
Saturday morning we’ll head off along the coast path for about 20 km to The Lizard, England’s most Southerly point. Here transport will be waiting to take you back to your accommodation. Saturday evening you’ll be taken the local town of Porthleven and the 18th Century Ship Inn where you will have an evening meal followed by some local entertainment.
DAY 3 | SUNDAY – PORTHLEVEN
If you’re only with us for 2-days your adventure will end after breakfast on Sunday morning. If you decide to choose the 3-day adventure we’ll be joining the local Hash House Harriers and heading out onto the trails around the Porthleven. The hash will finish at the Ship Inn where there will be light snacks and food available at the bar. On Sunday evening we will be showing some films and discussing trail running adventures. There will also be an opportunity to ask the Run the Wild team any adventure/running related questions you may have.

What to Bring Along?
UK MANDATORY KIT LIST CLOTHES:
- Wicking top and shorts or leggings
- Socks (eg: Injinji)
- Trail running shoes (sufficient tread)
WEATHER DEPENDENT ITEMS:
- Lightweight waterproof jacket
- Sun hat/cap
- Warm hat and gloves
- Fully Charged Mobile Phone including the numbers for the Lead Runners, Event Director as well as appropriate emergency services (charge before use and make sure it’s in a waterproof case or bag)
- Lightweight, comfortable running pack (max 12 liters)
- Water Bottles / Bladder
- Snacks to sustain you for the planned route
- Waterproof bags / dry bags to keep stuff dry
- Whistle (normally found attached to your bag)
- Personal first aid kit (eg: blister packs, sunscreen, inhaler, etc)
Please note: we will not be checking your kit on the day, but we highly recommend you bring these items for your safety.
