A flat and short running tour that passes Florence’s most beautiful and famous squares and architectural pearls. On this running tour you will pass though the medieval heart of the town and see Santa Croce, the Uffizzi, Ponte Vecchio, some hidden corners and surprising spots.
Santa croce will impress you with its magnificent front while the Ponte Vecchio will bring you over the Arno. Runners will be able to view the small gold shops that are still today located along the bridge. Running along, we will also pass by the world famous Uffizzi Museum that is renowned for its art collections.
In addition to the main sights, runners will also experience the vibe of Florence and run along the small and quaint streets of this incredible city that used to be the European centre of trade during the middle ages. While we run, we will tell you some secret stories about the ancient buildings, like the famous dome of Santa Maria del Fiore by Filippo Brunelleschi, and the ancient families, like the Medici, from the so called “Cradle of Renaissance”.
This running tour is a dive into history and beauty suitable for every kind of runner, from the fast businessman with limited time to the family with small children. The tour duration varies on your personal pace from approximately 1hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes.

This was my first experience with GoRunning Tours. I had a great morning run with Lapo. He was so knowledgeable about the history of his city and we got to see many of the sights before the crowds and heat of the day. He also had funny anecdotes that I will definitely share with my family (ala Clark Griswold). As a relatively slow runner, Lapo kept a perfect pace with a number of brief stops and the 7k was very manageable for me (I usually do only 5k’s). I would highly recommend this experience and Lapo to anyone who likes to run and wants to see Florence in a unique way.

Our family loved the running tour led by Lapo. We had a great time seeing Florence while enjoying some exercise and spending time together. I would recommend this to anyone as Lapo can customize the speed, distance, etc… to any level of running. Thank you so much for such a great time,

We absolutely loved our running tour with Lapo and would recommend it to any of our friends and family visiting Florence. We learned so much more than we expected and it was the perfect way to explore a new city Lapo shared lots of info with us that only the locals would know, and after the tour, even sent us an extensive list of restaurant and activity recommendations for the rest of our trip. My husband is not even a runner, but after the tour, he admitted that because of how great our experience was, he wants to do a Go Running Tour in every new city we visit! Lapo was a delightful running guide! My friend hasn’t done a running tour before and he was very good about setting a pace she and I could enjoy! The little bits of Florence history made the tour unique and provided a local perspective! Loved the phrase, “what are you building the Duomo?” Aka what’s taking so long! 🙂
I would highly recommend for new and more experienced runners!

Enjoyed Lapo’s guided running tour. He let my wife and I (in our fifties) dictate pace so by breakfast on our first morning in Florence we’d already got a feel for the city and its history. We particularly appreciated his follow up email with photos of us running and, as we’d requested, recommendations for modestly priced good restaurants (as well as suggestions as to what else we might like to see).
