This tour starts at Avenue Hipólito Yrigoyen, a stately avenue of the Barrio Nueva Cordoba, designed at the end of the 19th century. This avenue is famous for being the most elegant for two reasons. One reason is its Hausmannian design and the other reason is that the buildings on the avenue generate a unique atmosphere of styles, colors and architectural designs where you can appreciate the historical passage from one era to another.
The running tour continues in the Great Sarmiento Park, that is particularly popular with the locals of Cordoba for outdoor recreation and family walks. The park is a large romantic garden with picturesque curved paths, a lake with an island, field of roses, a Greek theatre and numerous places for resting and relaxing. Runners will truly get a feel for local life in Cordoba.
Inside the park, we will run across a wide avenue, located in the center of the park, which culminates with an imposing sculpture dedicated to Dante Alighieri. This avenue also boasts both restaurants and bars, and your guide is more than happy to recommend a few of the best and most traditional places.
During the running tour, runners will also enjoy panoramic views of Cordoba and while taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and busy daily life.
