Get ready to run amongst Unesco heritage fortresses, buildings and streets.
Dalt Vila in Ibiza is the medieval city that is within the Renaissance fortress, on the top of a hill. You can’t miss out on a visit to Dalt Vila when you come to Ibiza. We will run along walls, through the impressive city gates and through the labyrinth of cobblestone streets that lead us to the Ibiza Cathedral, between houses, churches and palaces. The views from here are impressive, covering almost half of the island. Legend says that the Catalan troops conquered the city, in the 13th century, entering through a secret passage … Will we find it?
We will visit ‘La Marina‘, a former fishermen’s and shipyard neighbourhood that lies between the fortress walls and the port. Through its maze of intriguing, narrow streets we will see the most trendy Ibiza, its famous gay area (‘Calle de la Virgen‘), and the drug neighbourhood (‘sa Penya’). Prepare to be blasted with contrasts and impressions.
The running tour continues to the new port, where the city changes the whitewashed facades for luxury apartments that stands over the yachts and contemplating the beauty of Dalt Vila.
And finally, nothing better than running along Talamanca beach and enjoying the sea breeze while taking its crystal clear waters before returning to the city.
This is an easy to moderate tour to enjoy the Ibiza highlights, it’s an ‘up and down run’ on its first part (Dalt Vila) and an easy run later.
