Day 1 – Arrival into Broadway / Intro to Trail Running
Distance: Approx. 6 – 8+ miles
Welcome to the Cotswolds!
Arrival this morning at our hotel at 10:00.
We’ll catch up over coffee and tea which gives us a chance to meet the rest of the group and a briefing of what you can expect from the trail weekend.
We’ll start with a workshop on trail technique, get our gear ready and head straight out onto the Cotswold hills for some spectacular trail running.
Taking an easy and sociable pace we’ll start our morning run with a tutorial on running technique and how to approach and descend hills.
We’ll be out on our feet for between 3 – 4 hours including the stops we make.
Our support vehicle will be with us the entire time to provide snacks and drinks, with plenty of stops to take in the jaw-dropping Cotswold views.
We’ll get back on the trail after lunch to test out what we’ve learned this morning, running some beautiful kilometers where we route back to our hotel.
Time at leisure in the late afternoon and then meet up in the evening for a trail running workshop and inspirational talks over dinner and drinks to toast an amazing day!
*Please note dinner is excluded from the cost of the trip.
Day 2 – Cotswold Trail Running / Departure
Distance: Approx. 6 – 8 miles
After breakfast, we’ll have a recovery session to help gear our legs up for another day on the trail.
We’ll also be hosting a training plan session to help you gear up for any goals you have for the year ahead and pointers on nutrition and how to properly prepare.
Back on the trail for another beautiful trail run we’ll aim to run a sociable 10km which gives us a chance to test out the skills you are learnt and to revisit anything you are unsure about.
We’ll also be providing a session on the basics of route navigation.
Back at our base for goodbyes with expected departure around 14:00 – 15:00.
