KUALA LUMPUR MESMERIZING PUTRAJAYA RUN - 12K
Runner on the ground - PATRICK
Putrajaya is a planned city with a modern and futuristic design. It is home to a number of government buildings and landmarks. This tour aims at giving you a taste of this beautiful and quiet town, which stand in stark contrast with its more chaotic, vibrant and cosmopolitan neighbor, Kuala Lumpur.
The tour starts and end at Anjung Floria (Flower Garden), located on the shores of the Putrajaya Lake. The Putrajaya Lake is a beautiful and versatile place to visit. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors, or to try a new water sport. The lake is also a great place to learn about Malaysia’s infrastructure and development. It is the sixth largest lake in Malaysia, with an area of 6.5 square kilometers.
Our run around the lake will take us across several important, and beautiful sights, such as: the Putra Mosque, the residence of the Prime Minister, the International Convention Center, and the many beautiful bridges. We will also run around the world’s largest roundabout, measuring 3.4km in circumference and joined by 15 entry/exit points.
After exiting the roundabout, we will run along Persiaran Perdana (Main Street), which is a 4km long, 100 meters wide boulevard connecting the Putra Roundabout and the Putra Square (the main public square in the town).
We will end our run back at the Anjung Floria, where you can reflect on the many memories from the run at one of the cafes there, or you can also partake in one of the many other activities on offer in Putrajaya, such as bicycle rental, boat tour, etc…
