The running tour “Nueva Córdoba” or “modern Cordoba” is a run among a variety of architectural styles and a thriving culture scene. Runners will pass a handful of the most known museums in Cordoba including the Museum of Fine Arts Evita, The Emilio Caraffa Museum, The Museum of Natural Sciences, The Paseo del Buen Pastor as well as the Palatial buildings in and around Plaza España. Museums are mostly known for what’s inside them, but the above museum buildings are sights in their own right and architectural pearls.
This traditional neighborhood is full of restaurants, bars and pubs where young people and creatives distract themselves from the busy life of studying and work. It also is the “circuit of excellence” where runners can absorb more than a century’s history through the different architectural styles.
The running tour continues on the campus of the University National of Cordoba, founded by the Jesuits more than 400 years ago, where runners can enjoy architecture from National Monumentalism, Spanish architecture and French modernism. A rare gem and breathtaking buildings. Continuing the run, we visit the “Parque de Las Tejas”, the “Parque del Bicentenario de la Republica” and cross the main avenues via bridges. The bridges treat runners to panoramic views of this thriving Argentinian metropolis. A tour for true lovers of urban running with the desire to learn and enjoy new experiences.
