Runner on the ground - EMILY

Central Park is one of the most popular places to run in New York City. On this guided running tour you’ll see why through the eyes of a native.

This run introduces you to sights such as the Literary Walk, meet Alice in Wonderland and Hans Christian Andersen, and take a breather in Shakespeare’s Garden.

We will wave as we pass the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the seals in the Central Park Zoo. Not to mention, the many lakes, ponds, and streams will make you forget that you’re in the most populated city in the country.

We will stop by the breathtaking Bethesda Fountain and pay our respects to John Lennon in Strawberry Fields, before running across the finish line for the NYC Marathon.

There will be ample opportunities for gorgeous shots, as we explore Central Park and discover why this is truly the New Yorkers’ oasis. This tour is for everyone and is not to be missed!

NOTE: While cars are no longer allowed in the park, it is still a very busy area. For night tours, light and reflective gear is recommended.

Fantastic running tour with Dan around Central Park! Lots of fun facts as well as traditional info about the history of the park. Plenty of local recommendations to boot. This was my first running tour and I’ll certainly be booking more in for future trips.

10k run in Central Park with Victoria

I love running and really wanted the experience of running in Central Park but was nervous doing it alone. Victoria came to pick me up at my hotel and we ran to Central park then did a lovely run. The route we took was great – showing me some of the interesting landmarks within the park. The company was fantastic and she ran at my pace. I would really recommend this to anyone at any level of running. Thanks Victoria.

    Amazing Tour

Absolutely amazing run with Chris through Central Park. Tons of history about the park, from its formation until today. Excellent photo spots and so many locations in movies and TV shows. Loved running across the NYC Marathon finish line and Tavern on the Green (sadly closed that early in the morning). Definitely want to come back for the longer tour of the park, and have recommended Go! Running Tours to all of my friends. Thanks Chris!

What an amazing way to be in a beautiful setting, learn some history, get acclimated, and have some fun. Chris was amazingly accommodating (he offered to push the date due to smoke from Canadian wildfires) and provided frequent communication which I really appreciated. Thank you for a great morning Chris!

    Fun running experience

Chris guided my daughter and I through Central Park on a 5k tour – it was such a great experience! Chris shared a lot of interesting (and also) fun facts of NYC, Central Park in particular – we saw parts of Central Park we would not have experienced on our own. And when we crossed the NYC marathon line – we felt like real champions 😉 We highly recommend this type of sightseeing – it was great fun! Thanks Chris – we will be back 🙂

    Great Tour

I had Chris for a 5K tour of Central Park and it was wonderful. I am a local who has never explored or learned about the park. I never knew the history or about all the hidden and absolutely beautiful spots. Chris knew it all and had lots of interesting info about what movies were filmed at in Central Park too. I am a slow runner and that was no problem for Chris to accommodate. If you are in the area I would definitely recommend for something different to do, and still get in a workout!

This was a great way to see parts and paths of Central Park you may miss and get interesting facts and information about this beautiful area of Manhattan (Why’s Shakespeare been turned round?) I’d recommend a running tour to anyone, Our guide Chris was helpful and informative, and we got a good run in.

Chris took our whole family on a 5 KM run of Central Park. We loved it. He was great at keeping a good pace for all of us including my two teenage daughters plus showed us lots of points of interest. It was brilliant. Couldn’t recommend it more!!

    So enjoyable, so different

    Clare Zinkin

We met Chris for our 5K run around Central Park. Two of us were runners, one not and Chris set a forgiving pace for us, allowing our youngest member to participate but not feel too stretched. Chris was knowledgable about the park and its history, as well as knowing contemporary details about movies etc. He gave us time to stop and take photos with great views, as well as showing us interesting paths around the park. It is such a different way to have a tour, and yet also exciting and fun. Chris is reliable, contacting us frequently in the lead up to the run, including weather reports etc, punctual – he was early and in an easy meeting place, and friendly – he was very friendly and also emailed again afterwards to check in that we were okay and if we had further questions he could help with during the trip. Highly recommend – do it, even if not runners. You can always have a big breakfast after like we did!

I joined Izze for a 5k tour last week and had a fantastic time. I booked the tour as a birthday treat and enjoyed it immensely. I could have run for longer! Izze was the perfect guide and gave plenty of info, so thank you very much and hope to see you again at another destination!
