Let’s visit one of the most beautiful volcanoes in Guatemala and let ourselves be enveloped by the magic of its constant eruptions.
The walking tour begins approximately in the middle of the volcano, so the time on the trail is quite accessible and short. Accompanied by a local guide, the hike goes through flat and inclined parts; as you advance along the route you will find several viewpoints that allow you to appreciate the different landscapes of the south of the country, some nearby towns like Palín, Villa Nueva, Amatitlán, even a little of the capital city; in addition to the diversity of fauna and flora that the volcano has.
Towards the final part of the tour, your eyes will marvel at the rivers of petrified lava from previous eruptions. Here, you should be careful to walk only in authorized areas; with a little luck, the absence of clouds will allow you to be amazed by the eruptions of the volcano at a safe distance that does not represent any danger. Approaching the crater is allowed only to governmental entities, not to tourists. This tour can be done during the day, from early hours to enjoy the wonderful sun, or in the afternoon/evening to admire the majesty of the lava.
This tour offers you the opportunity to have unique and professional pictures taken by a highly experienced photographer, using his professional camera, Daniel will amaze you with 35 exceptional images so that you can have a memory of this experience in the volcano. Your photos will be sent to you through a file transfer platform.
It is recommended to use basic climbing clothing and gear, such as non-slippery shoes, long pants, 1-2 coats for moderate cold, a hat for sun protection, gloves, sunblock, and bottled water. The total time from the start of the hike until we return to the vehicle is 3-4 hours at a moderate pace. Join us to enjoy this natural wonder of a beautiful country called Guatemala.
