Description
The tour starts at the Planetarium Galileo Galilei, a 1960s building shaped like a UFO, in the Parque Tres de Febrero in Palermo. The tour continues through the beautiful park, also known as The Forests of Palermo, one of the city’s most popular open spaces. The park was first opened in 1875 and is the perfect place to relax and unwind, walk, run, cycle, roller-skate, or have a picnic with friends. Tres de Febrero is not the only park you will see, with the route continuing through Ecuador Park, Fangio Park – where you can see more than 50 cars of Juan Martin Fangio – and the mystical Rosedal.
Finally the tour reaches the Estadio Monumental, home of Club Atlético River Plate, one of Argentina’s two most popular football (soccer) clubs. The stadium is one of the most important in South America, and with a capacity of 76,000, it is the biggest. It hosts most of Argentina’s international home matches and has also been the venue for performances by international singers and bands.
