Runner on the ground - FABRIZIO

10 years of running

Welcome to the world’s largest open-air museum run. Taking on the Go Running Rome 8km historical centre run will give you the opportunity to cruise through and stop at some of the world’s most renowned piazzas and monuments. Runners will gain insight into not only the rich history but also the contradictions that make up this great city. Beginning in Piazza del Popolo, one of Rome’s largest and most misunderstood piazzas, where complex layers of Roman history played out and the central monument dates back to Ancient Egypt! Major stops include the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Castel Sant’Angelo and the Pantheon. This unique experience allows you to see Rome’s most beautiful piazzas, Piazza Navona, San Pietro, Piazza Venezia -without tourists!

Heading our way through one of Rome’s most popular shopping districts, stopping at the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, your guide will share shopping and dining tips for this central area of the city. Winding your way through Roman side roads you will see daily life in the centre play out –laundry hung from century-old windows, climbing ivy plants and possibly blooming bougainvillaeas, between Piazza Venezia and Piazza Navona. No visit to Rome would be complete without a stop by Piazza della Rotonda to admire the Pantheon, home to the world’s oldest unreinforced concrete dome and the beautiful Campo di Fiori–center of Roman social life by night and produce market by day. This private tour gives you all the sites and is lead by running guides who are eager to share their city with you! We will run this tour at your pace and are ready to stop for photos when you like. There are countless potable water fountains on the course, with water still brought in from the mountains by Roman Aqueducts!

Our run with Claudio was the highlight of the trip! He was fantastic! We kept a comfortable pace and made it to all of the sites before the crowds to get great pictures! It really helped us navigate Rome better too! I highly recommend!

Very relaxed and friendly tour with Claudio. We really enjoyed it and think this is the best way to discover Rome: nice light in the morning, no crowds and cool breeze. And Claudio was charming company.

Sunrise run in Rome with Fabrizio

    Beth Mullen

Fabrizio met us before sunrise on our last day in Rome. He ran a very comfortable pace allowing us to ask questions and take in all the information he was sharing about the sights of Rome. He was very informative and gave us information we hadn’t received from tours we had went on during our stay in Rome. We got to see all the sights with no crowds at all!
The 8k bucket list tour brought us everywhere and even to places we didn’t know about like the keyhole. Which was a great surprise after running up one of the 7 hills of Rome.
This tour was the perfect way to finish our stay in Rome. We enjoyed meeting Fabrizio and can’t wait to take another running tour soon.

Dario took me on an awesome 10km run through the heart of Rome showing me the sights and providing a highly informative commentary about Romes history and current status. It was fun 🤩 and the most awesome way to start a day! If I had gone for a run 🏃‍♀️ by myself I would never have known how to navigate the 10k route we took. This was so worthwhile- I wholly recommend this!

    Irene Cominakis

Fabrizio thank you for an amazing understanding of your beautiful city. You have left us with a beautiful memory of running in Rome. Fabrizio took us of the beaten track and showed us things in Rome that were would never would have seen including the ‘keyhole of the city’ & the Jewish quarters. We loved running and watching the city wake up. Highly recommend.

Great early morning run to get the blood pumping. I had some nice conversation with Anita. We talked about Italian music, culture, and history. Private tour was just the tour guide and myself. We chose the pace to run at alternating between brisk walk to endurance pace. Tomorrow and later this week, I am doing a running tour in Florence and Venice with this company.

What a fantastic way to start a day in Rome! Seeing the sites and learning the lay of the city, without all the crowds and the traffic and the lines and the busses and the tour groups… Just amazing. They were terrific guides for our group of teens. They took them on a great run, and an equally excellent tour of the city. They took fantastic pictures, and really set the tone for an amazing day. I would give these guys 10 stars if I could!

    Colin

An early start but so worth it as Dario took me round the sights of Rome, running everything from the Circus Maximus to the quiet corners and everything in between. He was knowledgeable and ran at my (slow) pace. Loved it and I was back in time for breakfast. Strongly recommend.

    Perfect morning in Rome

    Peter Christiansen

Early morning run in Rome with Simone. Running in Rome, before the city woke up. Ran up the Spanish Stairs, no one at the Trevi Fountain but us. Simone knew everything about Rome. The best spots for a great photo overlooking Rome, the history and showed us hidden treasures, that most tourists will never sees.

I highly recommend a morning run. We saw all the famous tourist attractions and more. We had the city to ourselves and enjoyed every single mile we ran.

    Morning Run with Fabrizio

    Marci Mamaradlo

As we booked a private tour, Fabrizio met us at our Airbnb and led us on a running tour full of information and the sights before being overwhelmed by other tourists. Well paced, with many stops for photos and water breaks. We hit up
some sights we were planning to visit later but with Fabrizio’s help, we checked those off the list early! We feel like we made a friend in Roma! Thanks Fabrizio for helping to start our Roman Holiday!

We had a wonderful morning run with Fabrizio. We saw a lot, learned a few answers to trivia questions, and have a greater appreciation for this one of a kind place. Fabrizio guided us around effortlessly, kept the pace comfortable, and allowed for rest & water breaks at key sites. Truly the best way to run around Rome.

    Morning run with Claudia

    Lisa Burnham

This is my second Go!Running Tour and it was just as great as my first one in Copenhagen. As the only runner in my family when I travel I love to run and see the cities I am in, but I am not comfortable
Of where to run – this is why I look to running tours and now Go!Running is my go to. Claudia met me at my hotel right on time and had a great route picked out for us – as I had seen some of the big sites the day prior (Palatine Hill and the Forum) not only did she make sure to take me to the other bucket list sites of Rome but some hidden gems as well. My family was later impressed with my new knowledge I was able to share with them afterwards. Running with Claudia felt like running with a friend – I will
Continue to look to Go!Running Tours and when I am back in Rome I do hope to get to run with Claudia again

    Alan Ng

The Rome Bucket list run tour is an incredible way to experience the feeling of the city and all it’s sights. Daniel is a fantastic pacer and reached out in advance of the run to line up the plans and accommodations to meet and suit the conditions of the day which makes everything really stress free. I’ve been packing my shoes on trips now and will recommend this to anyone who wants to grab some mileage and get the vibe from someone living in Rome. The cobblestones, climate and traffic weren’t an issue as we did an early morning run which I highly recommend as the way to truly enjoy the run in the Eternal City. And of course, grazie e mille Daniel, for the other local recommendations on food and drink. Maybe see you at the start line of the Maratona di Roma!

    My Favorite Experience in Roma!!

    Marie Jackson

I booked this running tour on my recent vacation to Roma, and I highly recommend this experience. My coach, Daniel Zacaroli, created the PERFECT experience for me! He met me at my hotel early, planned an amazing route through the highlights of the city at the pace which I requested, and dropped me back at my hotel exactly on time. Afterward, he sent me the photos he had taken while out on our run, and also emailed me quite a bit of useful and detailed information pertinent to our stay, which my family appreciated being able to use. He was professional and friendly. I really got to see all the best parts of Roma before the city was awake and crowded, best of all working my training schedule into my vacation. For any runner, put this on your bucketlist!
