This invigorating 4 Miler, or roughly 7k, group run is perfect for anyone interested in getting some great exercise and education to start of their Saturday in San Diego the right way. Whether you’re on a business trip and cooped up at a corporate conference, a curious casual traveler, a San Diegan looking for a new experience or a part of our local Go! Running Club, we welcome you to escape with us on this enlivening waterfront weekend workout.
We’ll meet for our morning run in Seaport Village on the lawn in front of the Harbor House Seafood restaurant, at the statue aptly named “Morning.” We’ll enjoy the sights and sounds of the lively marina park as we talk a little about the history of where we’re at and what we’ll see. Our bay side run down the Embarcadero will lead us to boat loads of Naval and Maritime history and monuments set against a backdrop of Coronado and the downtown skyline.
We’ll traverse our way through the spouting fountains and colorful amusements of the lengthy Waterfront Park and head into the inviting and charming streets of Little Italy, brimming with the best trattorias, ristorantes, osterias and enotecas in San Diego.
We’ll continue to navigate through the historic city streets and pass sites like the Old Santa Fe Train Station as we make our way back to the bay. This Bayfront 4 miler will breeze by as we finish up our run through the park and watch super yachts and sailboats make their way under the picturesque Coronado Bridge. Not a bad way to sweat off a Gaslamp District Friday night or escape the corporate grind to start the day feeling fresh and fit with a new perspective!
