ST. PETE BREWERY TOUR - 8K
Runner on the ground - LAURA
The brewery tour starts on the new St. Pete pier (opened Summer 2020), where you will have a chance to whet your palate with your choice of a local craft beer at brewery number one and take a look into the St. Pete piers that came before. Your guide will snap a few iconic St. Pete photos, and from there, we will take off running!
As we head north along the bay, you will get a quick taste of one of the most popular running routes in downtown St. Pete and a gorgeous view of the famous Vinoy hotel. We will run a little loop, turn down an alley and make a quick stop at a beer-related mural. Your guide will share a bit about one of St. Pete’s most prevalent local mural artists and the city’s thriving culture surrounding street art.
Heart of Downtown
From there, we will run into the heart of downtown and then head west towards the Grand Central District. Along the way, we will pass the nation’s first open-air post office, a plethora of stunning murals and arrive at brewery number two. This brewery is known for its sours and has an art gallery to browse while you sip on your drink.
The run to brewery number three is a short one, but even short runs deserve refreshments! The next brewery was named to honor an important and well-known piece of St. Pete history. It is a story you won’t want to miss! Next, we are off to brewery number four. This one is considered one of St. Pete’s hidden gems in terms of the brewery scene. The location makes it easy to miss, but it has the best down to earth vibe, deliciously unique brews and some fun games to play, including a mini version of disc golf!
We will take another quick jaunt down the road and hit breweries five and six. These breweries happen to be across the street from one another, so this stop is what we like to call a “twofer”. At brewery number five, you will learn how a small homebrew operation grew into a brewpub, a favorite among locals. Then, over at brewery number six, you will experience the largest selection of craft beer on tap at any single brewery in all of St. Pete, and even more impressively, it’s all brewed in house!
Now that you have some beer fuel in your system, we will run back towards the main section of downtown. We will briefly hop on the Pinellas Trail, a 45-mile rail trail widely used by locals and tourists for exercise and travel and then make our way onto Central Avenue. Along Central, your guide will point out some of the best places to eat in town and, of course, more street art! Next, it’s time for brewery number seven, where they are known for producing award-winning stouts.
Last Brewery Stop
From there, we are on to our last brewery stop! Brewery number eight is just around the corner, so there won’t be much pavement pounding between you and your last beer. The last stop showcases three murals, one on the storefront and two inside, genuinely connecting the main focuses of the tour. Plus, their Kolsch and Scottish Ale have won “Best of Florida” awards, and their other beers range from hoppy IPAs to stouts to refreshing fruity Berliners. This stop truly offers something for everyone!
Rounding out the 8k (or for us non-metric folk, five miles), the route includes a leisurely jog back to the pier area where your tour began. However, many guests choose to hop in an Uber or catch a ride home from the last stop. The choice is yours, but of course, your tour guide is more than happy to return you safely to the pier and would love to hear all about what you enjoyed most on your one-of-a-kind St. Pete Brewery Tour!

What a fantastic time! I don’t think there was a moment where my friends and I weren’t laughing or at least smiling as we were running from place to place, picking up a beer at each spot. We definitely brought the party (and the LOUD) to each brewery.
The pace of the run was easy — Allie made sure no one was lost or left behind. She also gave plenty of time to consume our beverage of choice and kept us informed of what to expect next (including distance we’d run to the next stop).
5/5 highly recommend!

I did this tour with a group of friends for my birthday. We had a blast. It rained pretty much the whole time but that didn’t stop us from having a great time. Allie made sure that we stayed safe while still being able to enjoy the tour. She is super knowledgeable, friendly and flexible. You will not be disappointed!

Absolutely loved this tour! I live and run in St Pete and learned so much about our beautiful murals. The brewery stops fit perfectly into our run breaks. This is the absolute best activity for visitors or locals who want to spend some time running and drinking it up while learning about St Pete!
