Runner on the ground - STEVE

10 years of running

If you’re looking for a running tour with variety, The best of Camden Tour is a great choice. While you’ll see some of the hustle and bustle of one of the world’s busiest cities, you’ll also experience two of London’s prettiest green spaces.

We start in Camden, one of London’s Northern boroughs, and home to the famous Camden Market. We’ll cover the history of the market and the lock which runs alongside it as well as tales of the catacombs that lie below. As the market can be very busy, we recommend taking this tour early on in the morning to get the best experience.

Watch out for kayakers, paddleboarders and other water enthusiasts as we jog away from the market along one stretch of the Regent’s Canal before ducking into Primrose Hill Park. Full disclosure, Primrose Hill is a bit of a hill, BUT… It’s well worth the climb. And we’ll pause for a photo opportunity at one of London’s best lookout points.

When we have our breath back, we’ll head down the hill and into the beautiful Regent’s Park, truly an oasis in the city. You’ll see why so many Londoners love to run here among the lakes and beautifully kept gardens, and we’ll even pop out of the park to take a quick look at the famous Sherlock Holmes and Madame Tussaud’s wax museums before finishing at Baker Street Tube Station.

The best of Camden Tour has a bit of everything: churches, canals, parks, markets, quiet London streets, history, and even a zoo!
