Description
Starting from Piazza Vittorio, we arrive at the riverside, called Murazzi. From here we enter Valentino Park and visit the Medieval Castle of Valentino, where parties and receptions are held in the courtgardens. Situated in the green heart of the 19th century park of Torino, the Castle of Valentino had various uses over the centuries before being taken over by the Faculty of Architecture of Torino Polytechnic.
From here, we see the medieval village and fortress of Turin, undoubtedly one of the attractions most appreciated by those who visit the city. The characteristic medieval village, which rises on the banks of the Po, has in all respects the appearance of an authentic archaeological site dating back to the fifteenth century. From here we move in the direction of Porta Nuova Rail Station, built at the end of 1800. We will run under the arcades, until the Porta Susa Station, the new station that has been rebuilt in the last 3 years. Close to the station we will visit the fantastic Liberty Building, as “The House of Dragons”, and “Villa Raby”. From Piazza Statuto we come back to the city center, running along Via Garibaldi, the 1.30km long pedestrian street. We arrive at Piazza Castello in front of Reagio Theatre and from here via Po we return to Piazza Vittorio.
If you want to clock up some Turin kilometres whilst diving into the city’s iconic art nouveau, this is the tour for you!
