This tour is a unique opportunity to get beneath the surface of Copenhagen in the company of a local runner.
On this 10 km tour you will discover why Copenhagen is often descibed as edgy, cool, creative and unique. Discover how the city is developing into neighbourhoods with distinct personalities and take in the everyday vibe of our capital. See how the Copenhageners really live and how Michelin restaurants are flourishing side by side with trendy bars, organic eateries and the odd cannabis dealer.
You will also run through our most beloved cemetery where Hans Christian Andersen and Søren Kirkegaard are buried and lie side by side with people sunbathing (no bikinis during the winter though 🙂 ) and families playing.
Finally, you will see some of the latest city developments with the super cycle highways and we will run through one of the Copenhagen ghettos.
It does not get more “urban and real life” than this.

I will always take a running tour while traveling now! I hope all of my future guides will be as knowledgeable and easy to run with as Michael! I learned things my local Copenhagen friends did not know about their own city! The sights were exactly what I was hoping… off the beaten path, that most visitors to the city wouldn’t know of. A great idea that is even better on the day. A bit of a wet morning but Micheal’s steady pace and easy friendly manner blocked out the rain. Really informative and a great start to my day. Michael sent through recommendations and notes afterwards – think I may have to run a bit faster and longer if I’m going to try the bakery recommendations though! thanks Michael and thanks Go Running, I’ll definitely check you out again.

We had a great time on our tour this morning. Michael was friendly, informative, and happy to answer our many questions about Copenhagen. We appreciated that he took several pictures for us as well. We went at a nice pace and we were able to see so much! We hope to do running tours on all our trips in the future!

I had the pleasure to be on a run through Copenhagen with Michael this morning. It was very insightful, he shared so many details and the time passed by amazingly quickly. I would this kind of runs in every city again, as it is the best mix of getting to know the city you are visiting better, see something from the city and combine it with a workout at the pace convenient for you. We had the best tour/run with Lene in Copenhagen. She was amazing at both keeping the speed that was adequate for us, as well as understanding what would be interesting to us. I got the feeling Lene is really able to quickly sense what the runner/client wants. Know back in the studio I have told everyone about go running, that it would work both for avid runners as my sister, and me, more of yoga person. It really made our Copenhagen journey much more special. And we got the best bar and restaurant tips too!

This was one of the highlights of our stay in Copenhagen. What a way to learn about the city in a new light, from a fresh perspective and through the eyes of a local. Our guide, Lena, is a wonderful person who is a delight to run with. Highly, highly recommend.

We had a great 10km-run with Michael last week-end (October 2021). We chose this tour because it was our second time in Copenhagen and we had already visited the “must-sees”. He met us in front of our hotel and brought us to the living suburb of Norrebro which he knows very well. It was a good mix between a traditional sightseeing tour and stories about how people live in this area.
Michael was very nice, adapted to our pace, and sent us quickly after the tour the photos and his suggestions for our stay.
We would be pleased to have another experience with Go Running Tours in the future.

Kim is fun and very service-minded. Despite a last-minute change of location from my behalf, he turned up perfectly on time with a smile and showed us around some interesting parts of town. He customized the run, so we ran in areas we hadn’t seen before. A splash in the water by Island Brygge was a perfect way to end the tour! A run with Kim is a must-do if you want to see the city and get a bit of a sweat and a laugh at the same time.

I did the Urban Tour with Kim and could not have asked for a better experience! He showed me so many hidden gems of Copenhagen and we had a blast running together. I highly reccommend to anyone and everyone!! I plan to do more tours with Kim on future trips to Copenhagen.
