VENICE SHORT CITY TOUR - 7K
Runner on the ground - ALESSANDRO
We will start running in Saint Mark’s square in the early morning, when it’s still empty and quiet. The golden Basilica, the Doge’s Palace and the Campanile will be the background of your run. We will catch our breath while taking a picture in front of the Bridge of the Sighs and then we will speed along the waterfront of Riva degli Schiavoni, along Saint Mark’s basin.
We will reach the district of Castello where we will see the entrance of the Arsenale, where the Venetians built the ships for their skillful merchants and their powerful fleet. We will run past the two gigantic stone lions who guard the Arsenale and we will proceed to the residential district of Cannaregio. We will step up and down the bridges and swerve through the winding calles.
We will reach the Jewish Getto with its five synagogues and finally cross the Grand Canal. It is the largest and deeper canal in Venice and it’s water will be completely calm early in the morning. This is the perfect scenery for a last picture while you run to earn your deserved breakfast.

I am beyond grateful to have had an opportunity to spend the early morning with Alessando. My son was sick and even despite the situation I was in he made my beautiful. He took the took the time to help me find pharmacies and show me where to go if things progressed. He even checked in on my son later that morning. He was kind and funny. I learned so much about the history of Venice and enjoyed running over many bridges and seeing all of Venice’s beauty! Thank you Alessandro. I highly recommend running tours and look forward to doing it in Florenece

I had the absolute pleasure of running the 7k with Alessandro this morning. What a great way to start the day. Alessandro and his tour guide in training ran at my pace, took lots of photos and made sure I was comfortable throughout the run. I would highly recommend this tour for all runners wanting to see the sights of Venice in a truly unique way!

We ran this morning with Alessandro. There were 4 of us. It was such a great way to see the city without the crowds. We even got to see the sunrise. I have never done a running tour before and it exceeded all my expectations. Alessandro was a fantastic guide, took great pics and held our pace with us. If you’re thinking about doing a run sign up to run with Alessandro!

This running tour of Venice with Alessandro was fantastic! Venice is an amazing city and even more special when you can explore it with someone who knows the city and before the crowds arrive. Alessandro was very engaging and knowledgeable of the city’s geography and history. I am normally a 5k/run guy, but the 8.6k we did went by fast and I felt like I could’ve done more. That’s a credit to Alessandro, the pace he set, and his high level of engagement. This was my second Go Running (I did Florence last week) and both have been fantastic! I would recommend this company as a must if you are in Venice and like to run even a little bit!

Had a great morning with Alessandro ; watching the sun rise over St. Mark’s Square with only a couple of other people in sight was a really memorable experience. Alessandro was patient with my pace (I’m just getting back into running and was recovering from a minor op) and great to chat to as we explored Venice. This was the highlight of our trip to Venice – grazie mille!
