Hi, my name is Pola and I am a local runner and artist, aka “artistontherun”.

Running has been part of my life for decades and I have always loved to explore the urban settings of my town but also the many beautiful trails in the countryside.

I live in the old town of Nicosia with my family and I also keep my art studio here. I have been in love with the old part of Nicosia since I used to visit my art teacher’s studio for tutoring as a young student… many-many years ago!

When you come running with me on a GoRunning Tour you will see the different faces of Nicosia, new and old, touristy and not-so-touristy and get an inside view of what’s it like to live in this unique -but unfortunately still divided- city of the Mediterranean island of Cyprus.

As for my own experience as a runner, I have participated in many races of all distances and terrains. Here in Cyprus for example, I’ve run the local road marathons and many trail races of different distances. I can also proudly say that I qualified and ran Boston in 2018, but equally proud to have run many ultra distances here and in other countries, including a 100-miler in Greece. Ok didn’t mean to scare you off, my tours here can be as short and slow as they need to be, I love running all distances!
