BOOKING PROCESS
How do I book a running tour?
On each tour page you find the booking system. By clicking on the Book Now button, the booking process starts.
How do I select another start time or tour date?
After you have clicked on “Book Now” on any tour page, the booking screen is opening and you can select another tour date or start time by clicking on the clock or date symbol.
I can’t get in touch with my running guide – what now?
When you have not been contacted within 24 hours after the booking, please first check your Junk/Spam email folder! Just in case you can’t find any messages from the tour guide/city manager, please contact us by responding on the automatic email we have sent you after booking, or use our Contact form. We will then try to help you!
What is the next step after I booked the tour?
After you finished the booking and payment process, please check your emails. We have sent you an pre-reservation confirmation. Check the details and let us know, if something is not correct.
You should now receive within 24 hours an email from the guide/city manager from the destination, where you have booked the tour. From then on and if necessary, they will arrange with you together the last tour details like the final meeting point and start time/date.
The guide/city manager will also finally confirm the running tour.
Can I book more than one tour during the same booking process?
Of course! Please follow the following steps:
- Click on “Book Now” of the first tour you like to book
- Select the preferred tour date, start time and numbers of runners
- Click on “Continue”
- On the next screen, click on “Add to Booking”
- Navigate to the next tour you like to book and click on “Book Now”
- Repeat these steps until you have selected all tours and then fill in the missing information and proceed to the payment process.
How can I change the number of participants?
During the booking process you will be asked to enter the number of participants/runners. Click into the field “Runner” and change the number by clicking on the arrows or type in a number.
You like to add another person after you have already booked a tour? No problem, contact us via the email address mentioned in your booking confirmation or use our contact form (Contact us).
Please do not forget to write the booking code, name of the person who booked the tour and the number of extra participants in your change request. We will then send you the changed tour reservation and you have only to pay the additional fee by clicking on “Pay Now”. That’s all!
How much time does the guide have to respond to my booking?
You should be contacted by the guide/city manager within 24 hours after you have made your tour reservation. Our recommendation, book your tour a couple of days in advance! Then there will be more time to arrange the last tour details for your private running tour.
Of course, you can also book the day before (minimum 15 hours before tour start time), we will try everything to make your tour happen!
I did not receive a confirmation email after I made the booking?
Please check your Junk/Spam filter folder. Unfortunately, some emails could be blocked or filtered by your email provider or email program. We do not have any control about that.

Can I contact Go! Running Tours in advance to confirm availability for a specific tour date/start time?
The booking system is showing you the available tour dates and start times.
However, all Go! Running Tours destinations can be contacted from the contact page or from the individual guides profile page.
We have also some destinations from 3rd party tour providers. Unfortunately, you can’t get directly with the provider in contact. But as soon as you have finished the booking process and the online payment process, the guides/tour provider will get in contact with you to arrange the last tour details.
Can I contact the guides in the different cities before I do my booking?
Go! Running Tours destinations can be contacted from the contact page or from the individual guides profile page.

Can I book an activity or tour with a gift certificate?
Of course! As soon as you have received an email with the gift certificate code, you can use the code during the next booking by clicking on the payment screen on the option “Gift Certificate”.
The booking system says “This must be booked 15 Hours in advance” – what now?
You can make a tour booking 15 hours in advance. Depending on the start time you have selected (reference time zone is CET/CEST).
Just select a later tour start time or another tour date until the booking system allows you to proceed.
RUNNING TOUR BASICS
What is a running tour?
Running sightseeing, sightrunning, sightjogging, running tours… there are many names for one of the newest sightseeing trends in the world’s metropolises. But what is this new trend? Sightrunning is exactly what it says on the tin – it is a combination of running and sightseeing.
A local runner, guides guests through their home city while sharing facts, history and anecdotes with the participants. During the tour, the runners stop by the many sights to receive information and take photos. However, that is not all, as it is a local person showing runners around the city, the tours also include hidden and unknown pearls that only locals are aware of.
Do we stop by the attractions on the run?
On private and public/group running tours there will be a few stops at important sites/landmarks. If you do not like to stop on your private running tour, then please inform the guide at the meeting point or in advance, when the guide/city manager arranges the last tour details with you.
Do you cancel if it rains or snows?
No, we do not cancel our tours if it rains, storm etc. It is very rare that conditions are so bad, that we have to cancel, so if you are in doubt – expect to run.
What should I wear and which gear is required?
That depends on the season and destination where you will run. Please check in advance the forecast and ask the guide/city manager after you have made the booking for recommendations.
How fast do you run on the tours, do I have to be an elite runner to participate?
On a private running tour, the guides will run your individual pace. On public/group tour, a comfortable pace is normally set by the guide, so that everyone can follow. The pace is then mentioned on the tour page.
So, you do not have to worry that you can’t participate in a running tour. Sightrunning is for everyone – from a beginner to an advanced runner!
What is the difference between a Private and a Group tour?
On a private running tour a personal tour guide will guide you along the tour route at your individual pace. Very often a pick-up service from your hotel/apartment is also included. And you can select an available tour start time and tour date. More personal is not possible!
On public/group running tour, the tour date, start time, meeting point and tour route are set and also other runners can join the group.
Is it possible to take pictures along the way?
Of course you can take photos at any time on a private running tours! Just let the guide know when you’d like to stop for taking photos. On a group tour the guide will stop at some specific sites for photos.
Is it possible to be accompanied by my partner/friend on a bike?
It is in general possible, but is also depending also on, if the selected tour is for example bike friendly or can be customized. The bike needs to be rented by you and the person on the bike is not insured by Go! Running Tours. Please reach out to the guide/city manager after the tour booking. They will be happy to check the options with you.
Can I run with my family (kids) a running tour?
Yes of course! Minors only have to be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
Where do I meet the guide?
After you have booked the tour, the tour guide/city manager will contact you and provide you with all necessary information regarding the meeting point and a possible pick-up service.
You can also find information regarding the optional pick-up service and meeting point on every tour page.
What is a standard meeting point?
A standard meeting point is a specific place, where the tour guide will meets you, just in case a pick-up service is not available, you have a booked a public/group tour or your hotel/apartment address is not close to the tour route.
The tour guide/city manager will provide you with the necessary information after you have booked the tour.
PAYMENTS AND FEES
Why does GRT charge a service fee?
With the service fee, Go! Running Tours covers his company costs and expenses like the money transfer and insurances.
How is a price determined for my running tour?
Beside of tour specific things like distance and number of participants, we charge a service fee to cover the Go! Running Tours company costs and expenses for the money transfer and insurances.
What methods of payment does GRT accept?
Our tours can be booked only online. Our payment gateway is Stripe, and you can pay with your credit card. Cash payments, bank transfer or other payment methods are not supported.
Can I pay with any currency?
Unfortunately no! Currently you are able to pay in USD, EUR, GBP, AUD.
Do I need to have a Stripe account to book and pay for a tour?
No! You only need a valid credit card to make the payment and to finish the booking process.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
What is GRT cancellation policy?
You are entitled to cancel your booking up to 72 hours before the booked tour departure time. There will in this case be a refund of the tour price except for the service fee. The service fee is non-refundable.
If you cancel a booking within 72 hours of the booked tour departure time, or if you do not attend the tour, there will be no refund.
How do I cancel my running tour?
Please notify the local running guide who will initiate the refund.
What happens if my guide cancels my reservation?
If the tour provider is not able to accept the tour, or if the tour provider was not able to carry out the booked tour, Go! Running Tours guarantees a full refund of the tour and service fees within 24 hours after we were notified.What if a tour provider informs me that the running tour I already paid for, is now unavailable, but they have an alternative tour?
In the rare case that a tour is overbooked (public/group tours), or a tour can’t take place because of the minimum participants number was not reached, the tour provider might offer you an alternative date or a different tour.
If you agree with the tour change, then we will change the reservation and refund the difference or charge the additional amount.
Please do not pay in cash at the meeting point for any changes! Go! Running Tours do not support any cash payments and can’t give any guarantees in case of a dispute later!
