NEW YORK HIGH RISES TO HARBOR DOWNTOWN – 6K
Runner on the ground - DAN
Let’s get out of the typical grid-system of NYC and explore the oldest parts of Manhattan, starting at the oldest public park in the United States, City Hall Park. Then, we’ll run by and through the architecture that was shaped by the strength of the New Yorkers in the wake of 9/11, including the beautiful memorial, the Oculus, and the cutting-edge, Freedom Tower. Then we’ll take a step back in time to see some of the most iconic historic sites that New York has to offer by running along Stone Street and under the Brooklyn Bridge.
You can expect to see (among other things) –
- Beautiful NYC Waterfront
- Statue of Liberty
- Financial District
- Stone Street
- Brooklyn Bridge
- World Trade Center
- Taxis, food trucks, and many many more classic NYC sights!
This is a great opportunity to soak in the hustle and bustle of the city, but to also get a quieter, old-city feel at the same time. You’ll see the impacts that global events has had on the city and all who live there. You’ll not only get all this, but you’ll also see some of the most diverse offerings of restaurants, bars, and hang-out spots so you know exactly where to go for those post-run drinks and recovery meals!
