Runner on the ground - JUAN

10 years of running

We will start our tour at Teatro Arriaga and we will run up the river towards the first industrial building of Bilbao, the old bakery of El Ponton. Then, we will come back to the Old Town, with its Mercado de la Ribera, Palacio Yohn, Catedral de Santiago and Plaza Nueva.

After the medieval stage we will continue the course of the river to the Town Hall and Isozaki Atea, followed by Museo Guggenheim and Palacio Euskalduna on one side and Universdad de Deusto and Edificio El Tigre on the other. From there we will run to the other side of the river, where we could visit the Corbusier styled Casas Americanas and run along the new riverside walkway, hearing the seagulls and maybe looking at some local traineras while rowing.

Coming back to the left side of the river we will visit the so called Noruega area and we will climb up to San Mames Stadium, Athletic Club’s home. We will cross Parque de Casilda Iturrizar, with its beautiful gardens and fountains, and we will arrive to the eclectic Artklass building and Torre Iberdrola.  We will run to greet Puppy and then we will head to visit some extraordinary buildings such as Casa Montero, Azkuna Zentroa, Casa Guridi or Palacio Diputación before finishing our tour.
