Hola and Hello! My name is Ben and I have been an avid runner since I made my full recovery after a motorcycle accident. I was told that running was not going to be something I would be able to do. Well, I am here to say if you put your mind and heart into something along with a little prayer and stubbornness anything is possible!
In my years of running, I have run marathons and ultra-marathons including a 273 mile (439.3 k) personal best run which took me 3 days for a charity during the height of the Covid pandemic. I love this sport of running and have a deep admiration for the weekend warriors that are out there grinding and kicking ass-phalt. They are the true heroes! They are people like you and me. The average Joe or Joan lacing up and getting in those miles.
When I started running, I found that running allowed me to decompress and it later became my therapy. As a combat veteran, I know that each day holds its own stress, but the act of running allows you to feel free-even if it’s only for a moment-from that stress. It allows you to meditate, and it puts you in a moment of Zen. These moments can be experienced when running in and around San Antonio, due to its serene places, picturesque landscapes, and the beauty of its wildlife, which roams throughout the city.
Join me for a fun experience of running in San Antonio. Vamonos and Let's go!
