BILBAO TRAIL FROM THE HILLS - 10K

Runner on the ground - JUAN
We will start the tour at San Ignazio metro station. From there we will head up to Monte Banderas, climbing through a nice and well paved wooden route. Once at the summit we will continue towards Artxanda height. Along the run we will have incredible views of the industrial past and amazing modernity (San Mames Stadium, Torre Iberdrola) of the city along the run.
After observing the Old City from just above it at Artxanda, we will turn right to com back to the city. Following a natural track we will descend to the city, arriving to it through the majestic Puente La Salve and Guggenheim Museum, where we will greet the famous Puppy sculpture to finish our trail run.

Ida –
This run is an excellent way to start you visit in Bilbao. The route provides a beautiful view of the city and surroundings. Even though it is going uphill for the first kilometres, it is manageable, and there are several possibilities to refill water bottles or just have a drink. And Juan holds a great knowledge of the history and development of Bilbao.
