CHICAGO MCCORMICK PLACE LAKEFRONT - 6K
Runner on the ground - ERICA
McCormick Place is a great starting point to see the beauty of the Chicago Lakefront, Grant Park and to see some hidden gems!
We’ll meet you and then run over the 18th Street Bridge past Soldier Field and to the Lakefront. We’ll see Northerly Island and discuss its history (if has a VERY interesting former role in Chicago in the not so long past).
Then, we’ll head north past the Shedd Aquarium, see the Adler Planetarium and get some great skyline views. You will be in awe of the skyline from the Willis Tower to 825 N Michigan (formerly the John Hancock building.) It’s a great place for photos and to take in the majesty of Lake Michigan.
We’ll head into Grant Park and check out the Agora statues, run up the Logan monument and more. This small slice of Grant Park has a ton of memorable spots. You even get to experience “Mount Roosevelt” – the final hill of the Chicago Marathon.
Then, we’ll head back to the hotel via the Prairie District.
