We’ll start in front of the main entrance of Wyndham Grand İstanbul Kalamış Marina Hotel in Kalamış, Fenerbahçe; a very high end profiled and calm neighborhood in İstanbul. We’ll run to the heart of Kadıköy, crossing a minor part of Bağdat Avenue, among of the longest shopping avenues in Europe.

Running by the Stadium of Fenerbahçe, one of the biggest sports clubs in Europe and even the world with many olympic branches and worldwide successes; we route for the Bull Monument, a very significant meeting point on the Asian Side. We run through the famous Kadıköy Fish Bazaar, a very big and famous food market in İstanbul, on the small streets by the numerous bars, restaurants and cafes in the heart of social life in Kadiköy; where history meets modernity.

We arrive to Bahariye Street, the main shopping street of Kadıköy, run by the churches around the street and the historic Süreyya Opera House; famous with its Art Deco style. Tracking the nostalgic tram route we pass the streets with many old pavilions, art & culture spaces to arrive to Moda; known for its classy and cozy, yet lively style; where non-Muslims and Levantens have settled and lived.

Exploring through the streets of Kadıköy / Moda; we witness the religious and cultural variety of the neighbourhood by passing many significant churches and mosques and arrive to the sea side passing by the Kayıkhane, a well known dining & concert & night out space in Asian Side. Historic Moda Pier on our right; we’ll run through the long pedestrian zone by the Marmara Sea now; where Istanbulites gather, picnic, socialize, and utilize from recreational spaces and water sports areas. Greenery meets the amazing sea here; till the end of our route.

Running through the Yoğurtçu Park, we connect to Kalamış Atatürk Park, again one of the main recreational spaces of Asian Side; with multi sports courts and cafes. Many public events hosted by the municipality take places through the year here. Kalamış Park ends with the entrance of well known Kalamış & Fenerbahçe Marina, second largest marina in İstanbul; that also hosts many high end restaurants.

The big Monument to the first Turkish amateur sailor to circumnavigate the world, Sadun Boro, and his wife Oda Boro & their cat Miço welcome us right by the Marina; we enter the marina from here and from the seashore we run to Cape Fenerbahçe where we have the Fenerbahçe Park; the facilities of Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray Sports Clubs and İstanbul Sailing Club, a facility of Military and the famous Fenerbahçe Lighthouse. It’s a historical lighthouse still in use, a national heritage site; and the whole neighbourhood was named after it.

We take a tour in the Fenerbahçe Park under the amazing huge trees, with some of them being monumental trees that are hundreds of years old, by the Marmara Sea with the great panoramic view of Marmara Sea and Prince Islands. After exiting the park; we run through Fener Kalamış Street on the coast in between homes, restaurants, and cafes; while we also see the beautiful old mansion Villa Mon Plaisir which was built in 1906.

We run through the neighrbourhood of Fenerbahçe; one of the most expensive residential areas with a high welfare level in İstanbul, to end the tour where we started; at Wyndham Hotel with huge smiles and beautiful memories, hoping to see you again!
