Lace up your running shoes (but leave your guitar behind!) to experience Austin’s music scene like never before on this 4-mile (6.5 km) guided running tour through the heart of the “Live Music Capital of the World.” Perfect for music lovers, culture seekers, and runners of all levels, this tour combines a fun run with an unforgettable journey through the soulful streets of downtown Austin.

Starting and ending at the iconic Driskill Hotel—a legendary site with its own musical lore—you’ll weave through some of the city’s most storied live music landmarks. Stop by the intimate and iconic Elephant Room, famed for its underground jazz scene, then make your way to South Congress to see the legendary Continental Club, where countless careers have taken off since 1955.

Along the route, you’ll visit statues honoring two of Austin’s most beloved musical sons who shaped the city’s global reputation: Stevie Ray Vaughan and Willie Nelson. Then it’s on to ACL Live at the Moody Theater, the current home of the longest-running music television show in history, Austin City Limits.
