Description
Central Park is one of the most popular places to run in New York City. On this guided running tour you’ll see why through the eyes of a native.
This run introduces you to sights such as the Literary Walk, meet Alice in Wonderland and Hans Christian Andersen, and take a breather in Shakespeare’s Garden.
We will wave as we pass the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the seals in the Central Park Zoo. Not to mention, the many lakes, ponds, and streams will make you forget that you’re in the most populated city in the country.
We will stop by the breathtaking Bethesda Fountain and pay our respects to John Lennon in Strawberry Fields, before running across the finish line for the NYC Marathon.
There will be ample opportunities for gorgeous shots, as we explore Central Park and discover why this is truly the New Yorkers’ oasis. This tour is for everyone and is not to be missed!
NOTE: While cars are no longer allowed in the park, it is still a very busy area. For night tours, light and reflective gear is recommended.

What a fantastic tour. Chris was a brilliant guide who set a good pace for the run and was full of interesting stories and facts about Central Park. Can’t wait to run with him again!

This was a great way to see parts and paths of Central Park you may miss and get interesting facts and information about this beautiful area of Manhattan (Why’s Shakespeare been turned round?) I’d recommend a running tour to anyone, Our guide Chris was helpful and informative, and we got a good run in.

Chris took our whole family on a 5 KM run of Central Park. We loved it. He was great at keeping a good pace for all of us including my two teenage daughters plus showed us lots of points of interest. It was brilliant. Couldn’t recommend it more!!

We met Chris for our 5K run around Central Park. Two of us were runners, one not and Chris set a forgiving pace for us, allowing our youngest member to participate but not feel too stretched. Chris was knowledgable about the park and its history, as well as knowing contemporary details about movies etc. He gave us time to stop and take photos with great views, as well as showing us interesting paths around the park. It is such a different way to have a tour, and yet also exciting and fun. Chris is reliable, contacting us frequently in the lead up to the run, including weather reports etc, punctual – he was early and in an easy meeting place, and friendly – he was very friendly and also emailed again afterwards to check in that we were okay and if we had further questions he could help with during the trip. Highly recommend – do it, even if not runners. You can always have a big breakfast after like we did!

I joined Izze for a 5k tour last week and had a fantastic time. I booked the tour as a birthday treat and enjoyed it immensely. I could have run for longer! Izze was the perfect guide and gave plenty of info, so thank you very much and hope to see you again at another destination!
