RUN AT LIMA COASTLINE – 21K

Runner on the ground - VICTOR

Come run on the Costa Verde for the fresh sea air, spectacular views, and relaxing atmosphere, with flat routes ideal for training and enjoying nature in the middle of the city.

You can walk along its extensive boardwalk, enjoy the sunsets, and find designated running areas. You can also complement your activity with the local cuisine or cultural events.

It’s a liberating experience, enjoying the sound of the sea and the wind on your face, with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. The Costa Verde offers long, flat routes, ideal for long training sessions and for those looking for a run without steep inclines. You can enjoy sunsets that color the sky while you run, creating a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It’s an ideal escape from the city, allowing you to connect with the natural environment while you exercise. There are many points of interest, such as:

  1. Friendship bridge: which connects the districts of San Isidro and Miraflores and marks the beginning of the Malecón path.
  2. Bicentennial Forest: located on a 40,000 m² plot of green space on the Costa Verde slope, it features 1,860 trees, palm trees, and climate-resistant plants. Its design features the bicentennial symbol and the letters “Peru 2021”.
  3. Three peaks beach: It offers spectacular views of the cliffs and the sea. The beach is composed primarily of pebbles with some sandy areas. It is an ideal beach for surfing with an average temperature of 17°C.
  4. Makaha beach: is known for having waves suitable for beginners and those looking to learn surf. Its crystal-clear waters allow you to observe a marine ecosystem.
  5. Villena bridge: Designed by Héctor Velarde, it is a continuous concrete beam with a modern style that blends with the coastal surroundings of Miraflores. It offers panoramic views of the Lima coast, especially stunning at sunset.
  6. “Las sombrillas” beach: It’s a quiet beach with wide sand, one of the largest in Lima. Ideal for families and those looking for a more serene atmosphere compared to other, more crowded beaches in Lima.

And it’s not just running; you can also enjoy cycling, skating, surfing, and hiking, all with designated areas. The entire area boasts a wide variety of restaurants and cafes, many with ocean views. There’s also the option of an extensive route from the San Miguel district to Chorrilos (up to 26 km), perfect for those who enjoy long distances. There are also downhill sections like the Bajada Armendáriz, ideal for uphill specific training.

The route offers both cliff areas and beaches.

Come and enjoy exploring the city’s main attractions on a run
