During our first night in Cusco City, we’ll stay in Cusco’s downtown area, enjoying a luxurious three-star hotel with stunning city views.

For the rest of the trip, we’ll be staying in a beautiful mansion in Urubamba (Sacred Valley) that boasts colonial architecture and an outdoor pool. The mansion offers various accommodation options, including double and single rooms, each with a private bathroom.

The standard accommodation includes double or triple shared rooms. However, you can choose to upgrade to private accommodations during check-out to elevate your experience.

ITINERARY

DAY 1 | CUSCO IN (FLIGHTS BEFORE 10:00 AM ADVISED) / CUSCO FREE TIME – OPTIONAL VISITS – WELCOME DINNER CEREMONY.

We will arrive in Cusco and proceed with the check-in process at our hotel, where we can take some time to rest and unwind. We’ll meet at the hotel at 4:30 PM for our walking city tour of Cusco. After the tour, we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the city’s most captivating restaurants.

DAY 2 | TRANSFER TO SACRED VALLEY – CHINCHERO TO URCOS 10KM HIKE – URCOS MEDITATION CEREMONY

We’ll start our day early for a transfer to the Inca Sacred Valley. On our way, we’ll stop at the Machu Qolqa Inca Temple for a welcome Andean Ceremony at the unique Ruin Site of Raqqchi. There, we’ll get an introduction to Peruvian ceremonial sites and seek permission from the “Mountain Gods” for a safe journey through the Andean foothills.

Later, we will hike down the Chincheros Inca Trail and Ruin Site on a unique descent to the basin of the Vilcanota River. We will explore an ancient Inca trail that was once the main entrance to the Inca’s Sacred Valley. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a meditation and stretching ceremony at the Urco’s Prosperity temple.

DAY 3 | PUMAMARCA TO OLLANTAYTAMBO 12KM HIKE + CULTURAL VISITS

On the third day of our journey, we’ll explore the western part of the Sacred Valley. We’ll begin by venturing up the Patacancha Valley to visit the local Quechua communities. From there, we’ll hike from the Pumamarca Citadel Ruin Site, descending through enchanting Inca Structures and Trails, to the only fully inhabited Inca City today.

After, we’ll enjoy a delightful lunch at an art curator and food cafe in Ollantaytambo followed by a visit to the intriguing ruins of Ñaupa Iglesia, an ancient cave portal of the Inca Empire. In the afternoon, we’ll explore breweries and witness the intricate process of crafting Ancient Chicha Maize Brew, a sacred beverage to the Incas.

DAY 4 | MISMINAY SUNRISE 16 KM HIKE AND SUN CEREMONY – MEDITATION AND YOGA

We’ll kick off the day with a breathtaking Sun Ceremony. Deeply rooted in Inca culture, this ceremony marks the winter and summer solstice: a powerful experience of connection between the sun dey and eternity, according to the Incas.

After the ceremony, we’ll embark on a stunning hike to the mesmerizing Moray Inca Temple and Amphitheatre, followed by brunch in Maras and a visit to the Pre-Inca Salt Mines of Salineras. After a restful afternoon, we’ll engage in a yoga and meditation session at our lodging as the sun sets.

DAY 5 | PUMAHUANCA 10KM HIKE AND COLD WATER THERAPY

This day we’ll head in a new direction in the Sacred Valley and hike through the beautiful and microclimatic valley of Puma Huanca. There we’ll discover the magnificent Chupani Beauty temple, where it was believed that the Ñustas, or Queens of the Sun, received beauty treatments using water from the glaciers. After engaging in a peaceful meditation followed by a picnic we’ll experience our own refreshing glacial water therapy immersing in the Puma Huanca River.Later, back at our lodging, we will come together for a Pollo a la Brasa Ceremony. This dish is of great cultural significance in modern Peruvian gastronomy, making it a perfect way to conclude the day.

DAY 6 | LARES, RETURN TO CUSCO AND RUIN SITES 10-14KM HIKE + URBAN SAN BLAS AND DOWNTOWN CUSCO HIKES

On the fourth day, we’ll journey back to Cusco. We’ll rise early and head to the Lares Pass for a breathtaking hike along the majestic Inca Trail. After having lunch in Calca, we will continue our journey to Cusco with a visit to the water temple of Tambomachay and the ceremonial temple of Saqsayhuaman. Here, we will receive a detailed explanation and interpretation of the sites before embarking on a scenic hike through the historic streets of San Blas, finally arriving at the Plaza de Armas de Cusco to celebrate the end of the trip.

After a free afternoon to explore the city and rest, we will gather for a farewell dinner.

DAY 7 | FINAL DAY IN CUSCO

Payment and Cancellation Policy

  • Go! Running Tours charges a non-refundable deposit of 10% upfront when you book your holiday. After the booking is confirmed, the local holiday provider will send an invoice to the runner with final payment options. Final balance is due 12-weeks before departure.
  • The deposit you pay to Go! Running Tours is non-refundable (unless the trip is cancelled by the holiday provider due to the number of participants not being met or for any other reason). Period before departure from when written notification is received by us: Cancellation charge per person cancelling:
    Cancellation with a duration of 4 (four) or more days:
    – 180 days or more: no charge
    – 91 days to 179 days: 30% charge
    – 90 days to 60 days: 60% charge
    – 59 days or less: 100% charge
    Cancellation with a duration of 3 (three) days or less:
    – 91 days or more: no charge
