The perfect tour for runners who want to take a closer look at the green areas of Vienna and how they merge with its urban spaces. The run starts downtown in Vienna City Park and after taking in the beautiful views of the park, we will find ourselves in front of the famous “Hundertwasserhaus” with its many curves and colors in the third Viennese district. Arriving at Prater, Vienna’s running hotspot and green oasis, we aim for one of the city’s most famous landmarks – the Giant Ferris Wheel.
From there, runners will head for “Augarten” – park number three! After a maze of alleys, we will stand in front of the biggest flak tower in the city, a memorial of darker times. To lighten up our mood the running tour continues along Danube Canal with its “beach bars”, street art and urban flair.
This tour is the perfect tour for runners who want to experience the urban diversity and intensity of Vienna while also taking in the city’s green spaces.
Since this is a private tour, you will define the pace and have plenty of time to take pictures, if you so wish. We are visiting some parks that open at 6.30 am in the morning and close at ~8 pm in the evening during summer, and at 7.30 am and 5.30 pm during the winter. It is possible to book this tour for hours outside the park opening times, but be aware that we will not be able to enter some of the parks, and the route will therefore be slightly altered.
We are currently partnering with Asics in Vienna, so when you book a running tour with us here in Vienna, you enjoy a 30% discount in the local Asics store in Vienna and on asics.com
