Hi! I’m Michaela. A native Texan, I made the capital city of Austin, Texas my home after living abroad and traveling through Europe and Latin America. With its welcoming “keep it weird” vibes, good food, and friendly people from all over the world, Austin feels like home. As many of us now-Austinites say, I wasn’t born here but got here as fast as I could!
I joined the Austin running community to train for my first marathon about 7 years ago. Now 5 marathons in, I’ve continued to love running in Austin because of the community. I am passionate about financial literacy and when not out on a run, I am building Savvy Investher, an investing education business I recently launched. I also enjoy the local live music scene, two-stepping (dancing), and Texas Longhorn football! I am excited to welcome visitors to my favorite city in Texas and look forward to meeting you!
