BLACK HISTORY ATLANTA TOUR - 11K
Runner on the ground - ALEX
Atlanta has so much to offer. On this tour, we will jog throughout the major impressions of Atlanta as they relate to black history. Atlanta is most widely associated with being the birth place of Martin Luther King Jr. On this run, your running guide will share a bit of his childhood and ultimately how he grew up to be an incredible source of light and truth. We will tap into historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) that include prominent names such as Spelman, Morehouse, and Clark Atlanta University. We will dig into one of the more recent additions to Atlanta being the Civil Rights Museum which has had a prominent impact on education for locals and travelers alike. We will also go into detail on John Lewis and the astounding difference he made in Atlanta history.
Of course, this run would not be complete without calling out notable eateries like Slutty Vegan, cool places to visit like the Trap Music Museum, and must sees like the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in action.
If you find a particular spot you want to remember, our friendly running guide will help you capture that moment with a photo. We will leave no stone unturned as we share the history of Atlanta. You will not be disappointed!
