MELBOURNE HALF MARATHON – 21K

It takes at least a Half Marathon to see all the best that Melbourne has to offer! On this tour we will take in the city, the famous sports and arts precincts – as well as many of the roads where Melbourne’s Marathon travels. I’ll show you all the special spots – as only a local can. You’ll love all the landmarks and this extended tour gives you the opportunity to visit Albert Park Lake – home of Victorian Athletics, the Australian Formula One Grand Prix, yachting, rowing and more!

Melbourne’s most central – and famous – meeting point is the beginning of our tour. We’ll start in the heart of the city with history and laneways and coffee smells and all the best that this city has to offer.

Heading towards Port Philip Bay, we’ll take in the sites of the Southbank, all the while having the Yarra River meander past alongside us.  We’ll go past Crown Casino and historic tourist sites like The Polly Woodside, an ancient sailing ship from 1885.

After visiting the Docklands area – and Marvel Stadium – we’ll head towards South Melbourne and along to Albert Park Lake. Here we’ll do a loop of the lake – one of Melbourne’s most popular running locations. This is where Melbourne hosts Formula One race cars, world class athletes, soccer (football), swimming championships and more.

Heading back towards the city we will visit St Kilda Road which leads us to the historical Shrine of Remembrance – and the best views of Melbourne!  Cameras at the ready! Then it’s time to head into the Botanic Gardens and down towards the Yarra River once more.

We’ll finish our half marathon by visiting all the famous locations in our sports precinct – tennis, football, cricket, rugby league, rugby union, concerts and more.

After taking in all these famous locations – and capturing them all on camera – we’ll then return you to your drop off point after a memorable tour of the highlights of this great city.
